This my 6th time watching this Gambit. I will watch it 6 more times. I find it so fascinating. What if Black does not take the pawn sacrifice! ? But develops another piece? It is more important for Black to move major pieces than to snatch a free pawn! But once again, I appreciate not just you, but a few others as well that present Chess a fascinating game!! Yes, I use to play a lot of chess.

Gunjan, your english is good enough. I am from Germany and understand you well. When I was in London in the 80's, I was in anshop of an pakistani and he thought I was from pakistan because of my English. So the main thing is, that people understand each other. Your chess content is very intersting. But I am no guy for wild gambits. I like the english opening and for black i am now experimenting with 1.d6 and 1.b6.

Mr. GJ-Chess: Sir, I am new to this but I think your vids are tiptop. Accent/ Sure, but a minor issue in your case. Sometimes the accents are so pronounced the language is "foreign". Your stuff always brings a smile as understanding shines through. I ,for one, express my gratitude.

Hi Gunjan.U r doin a fantastic job in sharing videos with us.I cannot express how grateful I m 4 ur videos.4 this particular video I have following comments.At min 10:26, is it not better to move Queen to G7 instead of F7. That would have prevented discovered attack on Queen plus Queen had chance to attack white's king by taking middle pawn and bring his own rook into play. On lighter note, I agree with CaraBrimley. With those improvements you will sound even better. Thanks
@americalost51005 жыл бұрын
At 8:44, using my stunningly inaccurate 3 to 4 moves ahead calculating skills, I'm guessing pawn to d5 - challenging blacks bishop, leaving it no where to go, while providing white with several options, all of them good and seemingly headed for mate regardless of how black decides to proceed -- as the best move in the position indicated. But usually I'm wrong in such things.

on 11:00 on this video can't the rook on e6 take g6 for a double check instead?
@InSpadez10 жыл бұрын
well, its not a double check, the queen is pinned, and the king is still in check. But I think it still looks good only if ....Kh8, or Kh7, after that white wins the queen. So, I think the H file knight will most likely block on g7. I think black here has defended successfully, and Now white is down a clear piece.
@Manofsteeeeel10 жыл бұрын
InSpadez but if the knight on h5 went to g7 to block the rook then the queen on d5 can take the queen on f7. but who am i to argue with a GM move. lol
@InSpadez10 жыл бұрын
The Man Of Steel whats the issue with that? the king will recapture the queen and threaten the rook, and like I said before White is still down a piece.

I would like to tell you about the history. Before some years, vishva Nath anand and garri kasperov decided to play 20 game together. Who will win more games will be winner. First 11 games ended with draw. Next 4 were wined by anand. After loosing 4 game kasperov realised that 'he was loosing because he was playing sicilian defence nesdof '. In other words anand was more prepar for nesdof. In next game Kasparov played g6 first and play beshop g2. Kasperov won next all games with anand, he also won battle of 20 games. He named his newly created defence as sicilian dragon. Nesdof is very ancient line but lost its popularity after those games. Dragon is more popular. If u need detail knowledge of these varitions, raffer these games

It is just not correct English usage. There's no big logic but those things don't take the definite article. It's like Christmas. Many people from India for example say "The Christmas" but it is just "Christmas" It doesn't take an article except in very specific use-sage such as "A Christmas to remember" or "The Christmas of your dreams".

His English is fine actually, much better than most Indians. He can reach a much wider audience than by speaking his native tongue (Hindi, I guess). Guy spends his time to analyse the positions and prepare the videos purely out of his love for the game and the chess community. It is disappointing that his 'English' is what you see as the first pawn to 'attack'.
@aduttayou8 жыл бұрын
I said exactly what I meant. I like his analysis but his English spoils the narration. That's my opinion. Also the analyses is not something unique on KZbin, hundreds do it. But a clear well intoned narration would have made it so much more bearable!
