I have said this and I will say it again... Malaysia is easy to travel especially for newbies... travel 101... Other countries are more extreme in partying and travelling... start in Malaysia or use it as a hub to south east asia... if you get sick... come back to Malaysia... our health services are cheap and good...😂

The date in batu bersurat show 1306, its tells about Islam arriving in Terengganu... way early than Malacca.... thats why we in Terengganu have our own culture and dish... not like other part in Malaysia that mix with indonesian culture... we are same like Kelantan and Kedah... have pure Malay peninsular culture...

KT chinatown is one of the oldest Chinese settlements in this region. Last time the houses were built on stilts along the riverbank, something like those in Penang jetties..so the population was even bigger. Some other chinese settlements also can be traced inland, along the river with villages such as Kampung Tirok. The chinese assimilated with the local Malays so you can find unique culture such as serving of nasi dagang and nasi minyak during chinese new year.

Terengganu Cultural Village / Kampung Budaya Terengganu its located within the compounds of Terengganu State Museum, set in a background of traditional houses and palaces thats over 100yrs old such as Istana Tengku Long and Rumah Tele. You can also find 2 large traditional boats that used to transport goods between Terengganu and Thailand back in the days. The state museum and cultural village is a large complex, so plan to spend few hours there.
