The basket carried on the head is called Khang, bringing it with weights up a steel hill can be very tyring...so you can rest them on these stones without getting them off your head. Was born in Kohima so know a little bit.

Way back in 2006 my friend's from Patkai Christian College (History Department) went to Khonoma village as study tour, it so happened my friend while going around the village was munching on a packet of lays and he happens to throw the empty packet on ground without noticing a dustbin nearby... but to his embrassing experience a young child not more than an 8 years old taught him a lesson on cleanliness, the young kid from the balcony of his house reminded my friend about cleanliness saying 'Khonoma is a clean village' The embrassed looks on my friend face was worthless 🤣

Welcome to my village Khonoma :) the star is a Christmas decoration that you will usually find in almost every house in the whole of Nagaland during the Christmas season :) thanks to our Baptist roots. (btw I've visited Bruges and it's beautiful ). The guide system is there in Bhutan as well it's a small fee to help support the villagers for the work and cleaning and maintenance they do.

The one good thing about nagaland is... We don't have barriers between neighbours or strangers, everyone is your family and you can ask any house for water or dinner and they're happy to offer... We're different in tribes but one in Christ. We don't have barriers, we have Christ bond. And one thing is, we stand up against our opponents together. And 99.9% can speak English, so any foreigners can Converse easily 😌
