Fr I had so much trouble playing berserker, even with a decent build, after the update that I changed to warlord and now the game is three times easier and funner

Mfs did nothing but nerfed berserker and hybrids and went like: yeah warrior and mage need a buff. Also i can say that i thought mage was boring but i've recently switched to mage because i didn't want to be a weapons build (i was a conjurer with shadow) and now i use shadow and acid and well, turns out i actually have an ok feel for the playstyle :D

@@vsbung eh, to each their own. I find weapons have some of the most fun skills to use out of all the classes. Greatsword’s whirlwind, claw’s beast instinct, and bow’s arrow rain are all honestly the funnest things to use in the game imo.

Mage didn't need a buff, but Warrior absolutely did. In 1.14, there was literally no point in running Warrior. Knight would provide you with an extra 44 Power Equivalence (the way we measure stats) for pretty much free whilst having Ekrix, and the warrior exclusive moves weren't that good. Let alone the fact that Berserker existed with some of the highest DPS and best mobility in the game, Speed Conjurers and Warlords could fling up to the skybox and Juggernaut stat-checked the hell out of everyone. Berserker NEEDED a nerf, and if you can't see that, you're blind. And hell, they mainly nerfed Boxing and Thermo Fist, which were the two omega meta Fighting Styles that made Berserker (arguably) the best build in the game.

the surge thing isn't a bug, vetex just decided to make surge not cancel when you get grabbed, instead of surge making you completely immune to grabs

Basic combat light savant is unironically my main class, along with fire conjurer because of the absolute flexibility. So I literally don't care about buffs and nerfs in that sense.

I experimented with this using fighting style grab and yes you can grab them out of surge but it wont cancel the surge because of the grab

As a water (main) & lightning (secondary) mage, I had ideas to go water conjuror because my stupid ass choosing water as a main a year ago would probably have better luck with the bleed synergy and strength of weapons in general instead of the paralyzed debuff that got nerfed to 50% slowness. But I don't know what to do.

I'd personally put AOE warlocks above warrior but below mage, with enough aoe and a good magic their entire moveset gains sparrow thrust like aoe.

I've been an Iron Leg Main (Warlord Main) since I started playing AO. I do feel like The Frequent Nerfing of Fighting Styles will ruin the game's variety in the near future, same thing with how Fighting Styles currently lack any unique secondary effects. Magic Bias at its finest.

Honestly, fighting in this game is so difficult for 3 reasons (in my opinion) • certain magics just have way too many particle effects that lags out the game (looking at you explosion mages) • the land destruction is so bad, I get what they are going for but I legitimately think the game would be better off without it or if craters were consistent • there’s no lock on system, bro just give us z-targeting from Zelda, it would make keeping track of where your opponent is much MUCH easier

How the hell am i supposed to win fights with build like these with savant bruh... I dont even have aoe nor speed buffs. I may get more stuff but i honestly might have to rely on grabs and grabs only. It’s better to just follow your heart then follow the meta cause I’m pretty sure all magic, fighting styles and weapons do damage, so doing 300 damage a hit isn’t the way to funny arcane odessy. I hope that this doesn’t turn dark😩😞

"low dmg" you're probably building your light conj wrong "low health" ap exists, why do you need more health "decent startup" no startup or endlag was not healthy for the game

@@fooldiamond5452 I was using high atk spd and agility build, so arcanium rework made my power 63 -> 43 btw I know no startup/endlag is not good for balance but I think this is overnerf especially light, wind, boxing imbuement
