Took less than 15 minutes. Checked and it fixed my crusie control.

O7 Yukon fixed CC after watching this video. My clip was on left side and had a screw. I pulled on the screw and shoved the clip up to get it off. If you take off the screw it won't thread back on. I had to take off the bolster panel to get better access and take off the small AC duct that is also in the way. Broke the push in fastner that holds left side in place and later re attached using a zip tie. Be very attentive of how the switch comes off. It wraps around the power brake push rod and has to be slid on the same way. Getting a good light in there will help a lot. Also use some gloves as the metal beackets are sharp and will scratch your hands.

I think before tearing your transmission apart you need to make sure the switch is working. Just like the power window switches that get dirty or wet they tend to stop working. It’s your knuckles, taking the cruise switch out is not easy, but it’s not hard either. If it is the switch just clean it gently and the repair is free, same with the window switches, do not buy a new set, just clean the contacts, you’ll probably see a greenish patina on the contacts that needs to go. Just be gentle, don’t take a 12 inch mill file to them.

If you haven’t figured it out it may be the switch. You need to remove steering wheel (make sure you know what you’re doing) clean contacts on switches . This also works for windows that don’t work right, clean the switches and it’ll work like new.

So I’ve had the problem where my brake lights stay on as soon as the truck is on, service traction and stability trak comes on after driving for a few minutes and my cruise control won’t turn on, I replaced the brake lights switch and still no fix, replaced a few fuses and even replaced the taillights with some brand new ones and bulbs, have no clue after that any help would be appreciated been like that for a few months don’t want to leave at the dealership because they charge up the ass lol
