you're not stretching anything, you're putting pressure on your shoulders and back muscles. At 90 degrees you practice isolation and use your chest to lift.@@user-xz1wy4to4o

yeah you shouldn't be giving out advice if you're doing it wrong, elbows shouldn't be far out wife, should be tucked in 45 degrees to body

45 really isn't necessary. Anywhere between 45 and like 65 is fine. Don't act like a smartass if you don't know shit.

​@@eddieobrien6960 elbows are way too wide, should be closer to the body, dumbells are too far over his chest and towards shoulders they should be over the center or lower section of the chest for a start

@@lukej7283 what about people like Mike Mentzer who did HIT while advocating flared elbows close grip? Tucking in your elbows def works your pecs less. I always use barbell incline presses so unless it’s different for dumbbells idk

@@The_Honcho I'd like to see where he said this, and why and what exactly he was trying to achieve. It certainly wasnt chest contraction & development if he was, possibly stretching fibres & forced adaption of the pectoral for stimulated growth, but doing so will not get the desired effect of utilising the chest efficiently for maximum output.

@@The_Honcho a lot of bodybuilders do things contrary to what is functional for strength development to stimulate growth in a particular way to achieve a certain aesthetic appearance. Mike wasn't known for his strength to weight ratio, he was known for his magnificent appearance and fizeeq.
