In this video, we’re going to talk about the most common sign of low stomach acid.
The #1 most common sign of low stomach acid is indigestion. Indigestion is the sensation that your food is kind of stuck in your stomach-you feel full, and like your stomach isn’t emptying properly. When you have ingestion, you may have:
• An upset stomach
• A sensation of fullness
• Heartburn
• Nausea
• Belching
• Gas
• Bloating
According to medical books, 70% of the time, there is no cause for indigestion. However, they say it can be happening from stress, anxiety, or GERD.
In my opinion, this is a situation of low stomach acidity. Many people who have low stomach acidity take antacids to get rid of indigestion. However, this can make matters even worse since you actually need more stomach acid.
Your stomach is supposed to be highly acidic to break down proteins, absorb vitamins and minerals, and keep unhealthy microbes in check. If you don’t have a highly acidic stomach, it can cause a lot of bloating and discomfort.
Your body makes two liters of Hydrochloric acid every day. To do this, your body needs chlorides from salt, potassium, zinc, and other nutrients.
The best way to improve your stomach acidity is to take betaine hydrochloride. Keep in mind that this can be a problem for those with gastritis or ulcers.

My doctor put me on a PPI when I should've been on anti-stress and an easily digestable diet for a while. I was in a stressful period of my life and my stomach acid was low and so was my stomach's mucosal barrier. I was getting heartburn for the first time in my life so they figured I had too much acid. turns out it was too little so the LES wasn't closing. It got to the point where no matter how much I chewed my food it was always showing up in my stool. I had cold hands, cold feet, VERY poor blood circulation, NO ENERGY, etc. It was awful. And I had massive brain fog any time I ate. Well I stopped using the PPI and my acid has returned to low instead of NONE, which is a lot better.
