He has also over-inflated and misled regarding stock valuations, in fact he paid a 20 million dollar penalty to the SEC toward this end, he has been, as the interviewer said 'optimistic' regarding time-line estimates for self-driving cars. Etc. I sort of give him a pass there because much of that is likely out of his control...BUT not all of it. SOme of it is hyping something in the furtherance of his company. again - understandable but not really above board. Lastly, the idea he is a "free speech absolutist", as he has claimed, is simply ridiculous. If he were not rich and powerful people would not give him the attention he receives. They attribute to him all sorts of nonsense regarding 'man of moral character' etceteras. They should find other roll-models.

They need to show this to journalism students as an example of how not to interview. The purpose is to conduct the conversation, keep things moving, ask for detail or expansion when necessary, but the interviewee is the focus. No one gives the slightest hoot about what Sorkin has to say - shut up and let your interviewee speak. Interruptions are just unacceptable. *grammar errors corrected in edit.
