I have just accepted that this is the way it’s gonna be. It’s a really sad state/ area… That restaurant used to be Stacy’s, it sat above that lake. The old blue building used to be the China Palace. Welcome the wild wild SE… Soon the rich will only be able to live in Manatee and Sarasota counties. Why do the people that own the lands around here keep building bran new gated subdivisions? They are building new communities out east.. we don’t know how to keep old Florida, we don’t how to keep the older communities thriving.. just build NEW.. no middle class no Del Taco employees that are worth making food. People forget no matter who you vote for, there is a good ol boy network that goes on, there is a different agenda.

One thing I noticed between FL and the Westcoast is that the West Coast cities might have more homeless in certain parts of the downtowns but they don't really bother you. They just live in their tents and do their drugs and might rob a store or car every now and then. The homeless in FL be in tents and bandos (abandoned houses where you squat and trap) high on their bath salts, molly and fenty and they might shoot you on site. I think it's the heat or something...

Hawaii & Florida are VERY similar in the good weather, high cost of living, low rates of pay & their identical homeless problems. Our minimum wage in Hawaii is currently $12 hr; (while a carton of milk is typically $8, and 12 eggs are $10)!!😑 Our homeless build shelters on some of our many beaches. The worst homeless problem is at our Tourist "Mecca;" Waikiki. You can allegedly smell & see the homeless defecating on the sidewalk, and in the public pavilion at Waikiki beach. So, for people to think of Hawaii as "Paradise" it has a pretty fascade, but severe problems with gun violence & drugs behind the scenes. I'm so sorry that Police ignore calls from there for so long. The only thing I can think of that would be valuable; (in a mobile home), to someone, is if they are making Meth inside of it? Very sad for the "Paradise" areas on both sides of our country.😔

Why is the rent going up so much? You think insurance costs are rising charged to the landlord?

You know, with the way laws are in Florida, a small group of people living in the community could literally get together, arm themselves, and give every other resident their phone number so if things get rough, the local crew will come and handle it long before the police even decide to get off their butts.

It did not take the police 8 hours to respond. This shooting was all over local news. And it was an isolated incident. The police are stationed up in these parks all the time..I live 20 mins away. This guy has no idea what he’s talking about.

Why is it so difficult someone to report thoroughly? Meaning, I am in Tampa at cypress trail mobile home park on third and 8th street and there's been 3 homicides in 47 days..... Some of us actually write articles and would really love some facts that are tangible behind the conversation.

Is there a state law as to how high the rent can go??

That is not a crack pipe. Its a broken weed pipe. And in Florida there is no vehicle inspection, so as long as you can start it, and stop it, you can put it on the road. How crazy is that?

It is another community. I grew up in the hood. People know what is going on and who is doing it, but when you have to live there, people keep their mouth shut. They don't want to end up dead.

I think it would be public information on when the call came in and to when they got to the scene, no? I have no idea how to look it up or I would do it for you, lol, but I'm sure someone out there knows how to do it in 2 seconds.
