Some has called it "World's most dangerous hiking trail!" I personally think that an exaggeration although you will definatley need a head for heights and a climbing harness to clip your self on to the safety wire.In some places walkway has collapsed but people still walk on those few inches wide iron bars to walk across the walkway
The King's little pathway if found about 45mins drive from Malaga not far from the crystal blue waters of lakes of The Chorro. From El Chorro take the sign to Th Campsite and walk pass the white church to your right. You will pass a stone railway viaduct . Follow the path upward keeping the lake to your left. Once you reach the green metal railway bridge you will notice that walkway has been dismatled for the first 40 feet or so to prevent people gaining access. This is because several people have lost their lives on the walkway in recent years and after two fatal accidents in 1999 and 2000. Cross the green railway viaduct ensuring that you keep off the railway tracks as trains still run regularly every hour or so!. Continue through tunnels 7,8 and until you come out unto a larger area . To your left and below you will see below you will see the river running the the gorge. We scrammbled down the stone drainage duct and crossed the river and up the overside to access the walkway. Watch out for snakes in the scrub. This walk will take approx 2 half hours from El Chorro including the walkway and return, Ensure you have plently of water to drink and avoid doing it in the heat of the day! Most of all take extra care. PS I think its probably illegal to access the walkway but there is a climbing shop in El chorro!
