Thanks 👍 Yep - heights are not my favourite !! but I found out in Costa Rica that it is not the heights ... it is the fear of falling !! LOL - so as long as I am tied to something (strong!) I am ok LOL - this probably explains what goes on in my head !! a lot !! LOL - M xx

Thank you for the video. I'm walking this hike in two weeks and kind of looking forward to it, but I'm also scared of heights. But there are some things you just can't say no to when you get the opportunity. Hopefully, I will manage through the hike without being too scared :)

Excellent walk and info on this spectacular excursion! I’d love to be able to take my wife there. We don’t have scenery like this in the Midwest of the US!
@TREADtheglobe4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! and WOW !! I have never been to the Midwest .... I will have to check it out one day, I am sure there is lots of amazing scenery there too !! We are currently Self Isolating in a car park in Istanbul !! But the roads are opening up soon and we will be back on the road to share some beauty of Turkey 🇹🇷🙌 As we were driving through it to complete the challenge of driving around the world !! and then the pandemic hit so the borders are closed ... but we will try again next year !! Until then .... we will share the Turkish countryside !! Best wishes Marianne 👍🚐💕

TREAD the globe I understand the isolating part! St. Louis is just now starting to open back up. And you are correct, there are some very beautiful areas in the Midwest, especially souther Missouri and norther Arkansas. Very deep rolling hills with multiple rivers running through them. I prefer the area like you got to explore in this video. I was born in Southern California but have lived in the Midwest most of my life, though I did get to visit Europe (England, France, Germany,Luxembourg and Belgium). I very much enjoyed Brighton and several other areas when I was there. If you both ever decide to visit the Midwest, I can suggest some of the most interesting place to go! Thanks again! I look forward to seeing some of your sights in Turkey!

The original path was was more exciting 30 years ago. Never realised before that our escape tunnel carried the Malaga- Cordoba line. Perhaps trains were slower and noisier the.

Some 10? years ago there were a few videos of the walk before its restoration. Sadly they've been 'wiped'. Taken with an early video camera. No helmets. ropes etc.
@davidmcclean88726 жыл бұрын
Lord, your videos are being posted with alacrity! Keep it up because they are well worth watching. I've been following your overnight stops on the app you recommend, sometimes with difficulty but sometimes easily. For instance, at Ronda, it was easy to pull up the satellite view from Google maps, and compare that with the app. Gotcha! Just a thought, but could you put up the overnight stop coordinates? I could understand your reluctance, but if your experiences are so good, then perhaps they should be shared?

Hi David - thank you for your lovely comments - When we leave on the 29th Jan - I am going to start posting on Instagram again and I do a daily post - so I think it is probably an easy way of posting a location - but I will defo ask Chris to share the best locations on the video .... maybe in the description at the bottom ........ Anywhoo - thank you again for your lovely comment - best wishes Marianne xx 😍😉👍

I was on another trail outside of Malaga (Camino de Marbella a Ronda) and about 50 of those damn goats surrounded me for no reason. I only took out weapons 3 times in all the traveling I did there, 2 of the times it was because of those damn Goat Gangs

I wonder why people keep referring to it as the scariest walkway? You're walking on a brand new tourist trail, you missed the chance to do the actual walkway sadly.
@TREADtheglobe4 жыл бұрын
Hi - if you're scared of heights it really is LOL !!! We saw the old trail and old youtube footage and yes the old trail would have been a lot worse. 😮
