Ironically, banning troll behavior thinking it’ll stop it just encourages more trolls. Despite Twitch’s updating terms of service for conduct, there’s no shortage of trolls. It’s a victory when that happens. Always better to be played along with and creatively outdone. If it’s not cowardly then it’s lazy. When Nintendo implemented restrictions for certain actions in online play, any sort of registered input in sequence that would be crouching in succession or traversing the stage back and forth quickly meant an automated ban. It’s a bit of an exaggerated example, but it comes a point where being stricter than necessary means having the opposite effect.
