I've seen TWO houses explode in my lifetime, one was absolutely horrifying! Happened in the late 60's and we think it was natural gas seeping up into the basement from the ground. Three story house with 6 family members in it and that house totally became airborne! It literally exploded into a bazillion match sticks and the biggest ball of fire I've ever seen in my life. The house was alone on the end of a dead end street but it took out windows in houses a half mile away! Oddly there was no fire!!! Well there was but we think it somehow must have blown itself right out! It was very much like watching those old videos of Atomic bombs going off, that huge mushroom cloud of fire rising high up into the sky and then it just sort of went out and lumber came raining back down, and body parts... My father in law and I were setting on his front porch talking and we could see that giant old house waaaay up the road just faaaarrrruuuuummmmppppp!!! and took off for outer space and just kind of imploded then exploded all over the place and this fireball goes up towards outer space! The second one was perhaps one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life! Folks who lived across the road from an Aunt of mine were real "winners" the two sons were in their late teens and absolute bullies and the father was no much better. I was sitting at my aunts kitchen table talking to her just after my uncle had passed away. Making sure she was taken care of and letting her know if there was anything she needed to just get hold of anyone in the family and it would be there and just as I was getting up to go I heard that weird "Farrruuummmmpppp! Sound and my aunt and I immediately looked out the kitchen window just in time to see the entire roof on the neighbors double wide mobile home lift up in the air about 12 feet the curtains on all the windows blowing up in the air and the entire roof come slamming back down on the mobile home WITH THE CURTAINS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOME BETWEEN THE TOP OF THE WALLS AND THE ROOF!! When all of a sudden the Mother of the house comes stumbling out the living room door with her hair all disheveled and smoking!!! She was in a severe state of shock and had no idea what had happened! I know it's bad of me, but I laughed so hard at the sight of her! She was a little singed around the edges and in a state of shock and had a horrible case of ringing in the ears but otherwise totally fine!! But to see her come out of that house all exploded and singed and lost she who was the towns battle axe reduced to a stuttering idiot just seems so poetic justice somehow...

This happened before the move over laws. I was driving down the Interstate and the officer turns on his lights as I was on the left side I pulled over to the shoulder on the left. In this area of the interstate the shoulder was more than wide enough to have 2 more lanes of interstate. So it was wide enough for somebody to pull over and be safe from traffic. But after I pulled over the state trooper started talking over the bullhorn which I could barely hear. The officer told me to move over into to the right lane. I figure he was behind me and he was in a big van if anything happened it would happen to him first and I was only following his directions. After I pulled into the right lane than he said it was okay to move over onto the shoulder. I am not sure why I needed me to move all the way over from the left shoulder to the right lane and than to the right shoulder.

One of my favorite was a bait car incident not on this video. The suspect takes the car and as the bait car is going up hill they are worried he spotted them. So they hit the kill switch of the bait car as it is going up hill which disables the bait car. Causing the bait car to gradually roll back down hill. While this is happening the suspect knocks out the driver side window with his feet and quickly tries to run away. In the mean time there are 2 police cars at the bottom of the hill. While sitting at the bottom of the hill the officers let the bait car run into them instead of moving out of the way. The suspect was caught but it seemed idiotic for the patrol car to be damaged as well.
