Use render audio option instead of render and replace option for nests. It will be non destructive. 😊

You can also apply an effect to multiple tracks once, within a nested clip. This method is a bit more complex, but it is not destructive. Create a "Bus" audio track, and redirect the output of the desired tracks to the new "Bus" track. Place the effect on the bus track and you're done. I usually use this more to put Reverb, or Compression or EQ. However, there are times when this becomes complex when you don't want to affect more clips on the same track. So, the method of making a nested clip and rendering it is fantastic. Thanks a lot.

Here is a summary to help you get the info faster, thank me later, you got this! 🎬 Introduction: • Importance: Sound design is crucial for the overall impact of your edits, akin to the cheese in macaroni or the Robin to Batman. • Goal: Improve sound design with three tricks ranging from easy to advanced. 🛠 Basic Sound Design Tips: 1. Smoother Music Editing: • Problem: Simple fades can be boring. • Solution: Use reverb for a professional fade-out. • Steps: • Trim the clip and add a constant power fade. • Extend the clip or duplicate and nest it for longer reverb. • Add keyframes to control the volume. • Apply convolution reverb with presets like Bitter Hallway. • Adjust mix slider for balance between dry (original) and wet (reverb) sounds. 2. Laptop Speaker Effect: • Problem: Audio doesn’t match the visual context (e.g., laptop speakers). • Solution: Use parametric equalizer to simulate laptop speaker sound. • Steps: • Apply parametric equalizer and edit frequencies. • Cut bass frequencies for a harsh sound. • Reduce high frequencies to simulate distance. • Add convolution reverb to match room reflections with presets like Classroom. 🎨 Advanced Sound Design Techniques: 3. Underwater Sound Effect: • Problem: Original audio quality is poor. • Solution: Design sound from scratch to fit the underwater scene. • Steps: • Delete original audio and gather needed sound effects (water, splash, bubbles). • Balance volume of all clips. • Create an underwater effect using a low pass filter. • Nest all audio clips into a sequence. • Apply low pass filter and animate cutoff frequency to transition smoothly from above to underwater (20,000 Hz to 1,000 Hz). 🎧 Practical Application: • Step-by-Step Example: • For music editing: Cut at a kick or snare, extend, nest, and apply reverb. • For laptop effect: Use parametric EQ to cut bass and high frequencies, then add convolution reverb. • For underwater effect: Gather sounds, nest clips, apply low pass filter, and animate cutoff frequency. 🎤 Additional Tips: • Music and Sound Effects Source: Use platforms like Audio for high-quality music and sound effects. • Balancing Background Music with Voice: Ensure background music complements and doesn’t overpower dialogue. 🎬 Conclusion: • Reminder: Good sound design significantly enhances the viewer’s experience. • Encouragement: Practice these techniques to improve the quality of your edits and stay creative.

Use pauses in the voice audio rather than running all the voice audio together. Think about a person telling a story, or a comedian telling a joke. When the voice is run together without pauses, it can be difficult for a listener to comprehend and "take in" the voice content.

Your audio sounds overproduced. It doesn't even sound like it's coming out of your mouth. I'm not sure I want to take your advice.

You sound VERY entitled and you left this comment 5 months ago, but nobody even agrees with you. How is it overproduced? Is it too bassy? Too thin? Or is it more likely because he has an accent? His voice sounds fine to me, maybe you are accustomed to hearing potato quality voice overs that's why

Nothing wrong with the audio imo, on the contrary it’s clean & warm! The only strange thing (I believe) is the sync of mouth movements & when we hear the actual words. The mouth movements are too late OR too exact. The video is shot from a distance, in a room, which would delay the audio for 1 or 2 frames, which would also happen if he would be in front of you. This is why I think it feels a bit off

Nesting - what a flawed concept introduced to hundreds of millions by Premiere Pro. On the other hand audio is as important as your video if not even more so but to be properly utilised you will need to learn a lot more to it than when you learned for video.
