Hello, i just bought the same makita saw you have, thanks so much for these tips! Wow ! Can you tell me if i need the small silver washers on the arbor? There was one inside, do i need it?

Appreciate it! Your welcome, maybe depends on the version of the TS, could be for different diameters blades, pls check the manual for this, I don’t have one on mine. Have fun! Cheers Daniel

Hi, I am missing result on the scale after last attempt with dust port on blade guard. ;-) And, after sticking a duct tape inside the saw, are you able to lift the blade up to the max?

The last modification produced a very good visual result. So I didn't measure the dust anymore. But you're right, it should have been shown again. :-)

Thank you for your info. Today I made first cuts with my new 2704 and I think I will do it the same way.. ;-)

Nice vid. Is the hight of the riving knife adjustable?
@sharenicethings5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, the riving knife is attached to the motor unit so it goes up and down with the blade. Other you can manually adjust the riving knife offset towards the blade for some few cm. Hope this helps, if you have further questions feel free to ask. Cheers Daniel

Great video, thanks! Do you know how to fix the weird noise this saw makes when powering on? You know, this vibrating/shattering sound right after pushing the switch... it really annoys me but I didn‘t find out where it comes from.

You are right it sounds kind of weird. Since this saw has a 'soft start' feature I think this is what you pay for :P

It’s play between the arbor drive and the saw blade. If you turn the blade back and forth by hand (with the saw unplugged), there is a lot of free play in the drive. I don’t understand why they could not eliminate it. Same with the tracks for the mitre gauge. Why not make it the right width to avoid slop.
