According to the Wiki, you can use (EXP/16) + 1 to know how much resources you need to max a craft where you can make the shavings & ingots. So for the Gundabad tier in this video you'd go: 630/16= 40 (rounded to the next whole number) + 1. So with 41 Gundabad Ingots, you should be a Proficient Gundabad tier Metalsmith. I hope it made sense:)

The easiest way to make crafting faster is to use the VIP subscriber boost. Any VIP can go to the NPC Wenda Cranesbill, who can be found at the Bree boar fountain, the center of every housing neighborhood, and some other places such as near the stable master at Thorin’s Hall. She will give you two items: The first is a widget that you keep in your bags and allows you to access your Vault and Shared Storage and the Auction House and other things from anywhere. The second is an item you only have to use once and can then remove from your bags which prevents item wear from combat and death AND SPEEDS UP CRAFTING BY ABOUT 5x! Both the widget and the no-item-wear/crafting-speed buff lasts for two weeks so you only have to visit Wenda every two weeks to maintain these benefits. There are crafting speed potions and scrolls that can be obtained if you’re lucky with Hobbit Gifts or want to spend LOTRO Points for them, but the VIP buff is part of your subscription - so use it! It’s especially important if you have one of those double-crafting-experience-for-ten-minutes things because you will be able to perform about 5x as much crafting - i.e. 5x the crafting experience - during that ten minutes if you have the VIP crafting speed buff active versus not having it. Another thing to look for is “Ingredient Crates”. There are two kinds: One can be used by any player and will provide 3 Universal Crafting Packs per day. The other is usable by VIPs only and will provide 6 Universal Crafting Packs per day; so VIPs can get 9 per day per character. These crates are “housing decorations” and cost LOTRO Points but you shouldn’t need to buy them for your own house. They are so useful that almost every kinship has a pair of crates at their kin house and the nicer kinships have permissions set so that anyone, not just members of that kin, can use them. Many players have crates at their personal houses, too. Just ask in /world chat for a neighborhood and address where someone has crates set up, then stop by there once a day and over time that will add up to a lot of Universal Ingredient Packs. They can’t be used to level up Prospecting or Forestry (the gathering professions) but can be used for any other profession - and since anything made with Universal Ingredient Packs binds to account and therefore can’t be sold or given away to another player, leveling Professions is one of the best uses for them.

Where do you get the universal crafting packs, are they daily?
@JohnMHammer2 жыл бұрын
@@djnorth2020 KZbin deleted my reply because I included the address of my virtual house in the virtual world of LOTRO. Anyway, leaving that part out now: Read the last paragraph above. While you can get packs from Hobbit Gifts and some other rare sources, you can get packs from the crates once per day (22 hours to be precise). I'd invite you to my house but apparently KZbin won't let me do that, so just ask around in /world chat or explore some housing neighborhoods, lots of people have the crates and have their permissions set so that anyone can use them.

@@JohnMHammer Thanks, I figured it out. Getting 6 packs on 20 characters is pretty crazy.

Yeah found the VIP items - really useful and borderline overpowered haha. I also bought the crate for my house and with 20+ charactesr popping in daily I'm drowning in universal craft packs. I always knew lifetime was the way to go. Even if the subscription page tells me it's until 2037... well I just have to grind harder right?

Something to know: On prospector we can only do a rotation thing with shavings and ingots from Anorien (10lvl) and higher. We don't have a metal shavings recipes on lower levels. Fortunetly, we have them on every metalsmith lvl

are the craft alls storage thing account wide? like can all of your toons access them?
@VoiceoftheRings3 ай бұрын
All of your toons on the same server. That's the only caveat. But yes as long as you don't put a bound crafting item inside them or any bound item to a certain character. They are only account bound. So you can always put them in your shared storage and any of your characters on that server can use it. I use them for crafting it's fantastic for that. But if you ever find that one of your things is saying bound to a certain character. That is because you have a crafting item that is bound directly to that character so therefore you have to take it out of the carry all. Cheers !
