Oh this is so sad. The poor creature was in deep grief and because his new behaviour wasn't handled well in the beginning, it became his default reaction to the phone and them going out. Simply that the poor dog no longer knew how else to behave. So glad it was resolved.

hi Graeme Simply a huge thankyou with all the phenomenol entire familie units you have recreated aalong the way all the incredible complexcities which you have to acseess frequently humans which are often without recognising that their own behaviour remains the biggest catalyst of the poor pets disruptive or occasionally traumatic and distressing to find albeit pre ownership which further compounds situations To be honest you've had this young Lady tearful as you no that understanding how hunans respond to any animal particularly a dog transcends to the dogs behaviour You're total turn around However difficult they are A total gift and One so many of us have the utmost respect with sending hugs toyu and all who are part of this programme Love Liza X ❤

Poor dogs bored, needs exercise for its mind and body.

These working dogs need a lot of exercise until they are old. Even at around 12 years of age, my sheepdog needed a couple of hours in total by 11- 12 and at least 4 hours a day when younger. She didn't want less until she was around 13 and wanted only a little by 14. Always take water and a collapsible bowl when out for long. People get working dogs as pets which is fine - if they are prepared for well over a decade of not dumping then indoors while working full time, and that much exercise is a daily neccessity whether or not the owner is ill. The exceptions being if the dog is ill or injured, obviously. Or if the weather really is far too cold below freezing (buy a waterproof dog coat), torrential rain or much too hot for their paws before the cool of the evening and night. I wish people wouldn't take on dogs which are not suited to more sedentary lifestyles then expect them to not be frustrated and difficult with a build up of energy. A companion, especially a parent or sibling usually helps them settle more indoors IF they aren't allowed to fight. They need to know they are equal and who's the boss, kind boss. There is a lot of information online now about which dogs are best suited to active or sedentary lifestyles. It's so important to make the right choice. It's better to adopt an older dog who does not need so much exercise if it will be a problem to keep it up, although then of course there are likely to be vets bills in relation to age related conditions.

Totally agree. Many dog owners don't think it through!! And I'm convinced MOST dogs need waaaa-yy more exercise than their owners think! There's 2 things that are pretty much guaranteed if dogs don't get enough exercise: behaviour issues, and health problems later in life. Your dog obviously enjoyed a long happy life because you were prepared to put the effort in. I wish more owners would get the message: you don't have a cuddly toy! 😏

@@rachelm7525 Thank you. The reason probably being that prior to mobility problems in later life I was very active, from an active family. Only my father was serious into sport, cycling, but walking was an enjoyable pasr time and my husband was the same. He used to like to run with her. Sometimes I cycled but not too fast around parks and she liked to keep up with me and even get ahead. It was important to her to 'win' by being ahead. Lol. The later Staff x Boxer only needed a couple of hours walking a day, three at the most but not on one go, not running for long and I didn't use my cycle with him. His short legs wouldn't have done so well. People who don't like walking far, at least four hours in all and all day at weekends and holidays should not have medium to large dogs, and should not have even small dogs unless they can do at least two hours a day. I can tell you also have always looked after your dogs. We take them on it is the least we can do in return for all they give us 🙂

Nearly got bit, putting his face that close and being so loud and almost dominating. Dog was intimidated and the snap was for Graeme leaning over him and not the ringtone/phone call.

This should be called "dog owners behaving very badly". In almost all the cases owners simply don't have any training to own a dog.

I'd rather have dogs than have a baby , its no comparison, dogs are loyal , not like human beings.

Brothers and sisters, God and Saviour Jesus Christ loves you and have faith in Him alone as He is the One who forgives all our sins as He was Born Holy and without sin and is without sin and He Died on the Cross for forgiveness of our sins and rose from death on third day as death has no hold over Him. God bless you. He is coming soon. Who only has faith in Him will be saved. Just Repent of your sins, yes we cannot get out of sin on our own efforts but HOLY SPIRIT helps us and remove the sin from us. pray to God daily. Not by our works but by Grace of God through faith we all are saved. Thank you Brothers and Sisters

unfortunately, made in God's image is not a message they want or indeed understand in this day & age of superficial materialism esp on a doggie channel.
