Most chasers have advanced first aid kits with useful things like tourniquets. A lot chasers are also trained in first aid. A small town with two ambulances can easily have dozens of injured people. Most tornadoes don’t cause injuries, but when they do, it’s very helpful for there to be chasers that can get to the victims in such a short amount of time. When a tornado causes major damage and injuries, that’s when the chase stops. No one has ever saved someone’s life and then said, “I wish I had continued the chase because saving lives is boring.” Tanner is absolutely part of the chaser community that you are happy to see when a tornado is hitting your town.

From a storm chasers standpoint, witnessing a tornado is a bittersweet moment. You’re happy you’re witnessing a massive tornado and getting great footage but then you realize people’s lives and their homes hang in the balance. I always wanted to witness a tornado, but definitely don’t want anyone to suffer at the expense. Definitely heartbreaking to see a family’s home destroyed but Kudos for being a Good Samaritan and helping them ❤..

Hello, my grandson is a new meteorologist (congrats). We had a family gathering last month and my first question was, "which tornado was most powerful," without hesitation he said, "Jarrell." He proceeded to show me some aerial/ground photos from his laptop and those vacant concrete slabs were visually shocking. He said, "twisting speed was around 300 mph but what made this tornado so extraordinary was it's slow movement intensifying it's destruction." Anyhow I did my own 20 day research and what I saw was mesmerizing yet eerie. First and foremost R.I.P. to those that perished and my condolences to all family/friends. 27 deaths caused by the tornado occurred within one subdivision of Jarrell, a neighborhood of 38 well built houses called Double Creek Estates. Each residence was completely swept away and reduced to a concrete slab. The twister produced some of the most extreme ground scouring ever documented as the earth at and around Double Creek was scoured out to depths of 18 inches reducing lush fields of grass to vast expanses of mud. The tornado left an unbroken swath of barren earth vacant of fences, telephone poles, trees, pavement and homes that once dotted the landscape. Cars and heavy wreckers were granulated into small pieces and scattered across the earth never to be identified, think about that for a ..moment. The cause of death for most of the victims was tactfully listed by the county coroner as "multiple trauma", although the truth was obviously far more grisly and difficult to explain to next of kin. Human and animal body parts reportedly littered the area for miles, creating an unbearable stench of decay. Police were forced to close off the entire area as a biohazard zone for weeks as cadaver dogs worked to find human body parts buried throughout the wreckage. Pieces were spread out on the floor of a local volunteer fire department - recovery teams tried to distinguish human remains from animal remains. Most had to be identified through dental records. Many were never recovered at all. What a nightmare. Timothy P. Marshall is a structural and forensic engineer as well as meteorologist. He has conducted more than 10,000 damage surveys of tornadoes, hurricanes and hailstorms. Tim is best of the best and after surveying Jarrell he said, "Houses were obliterated. The destruction was so intense, it serves as a baseline for which all other tornadoes are rated against." Regardless if tornado is moving forward at 8 mph or 80 mph, fact remains that so many surveyors consider Double Creek storm to be the most catastrophic tornado in terms of intensity still today 2022. I've seen photographs of Bridge Creek, Hackleburg-Phil Cambell, Bakersfield Valley, Smithville, Pomeroy, Udall, Brandenburg, Pampa, Parkersburg, Loyal Valley, Philadelphia-MS, Plainfield, Greensburg, Xenia, El Reno, Joplin and they do not compare to Double Creek Estates duration intensity, Nothing Does. I've learned and seen enough What did i learn ? That "Dead Man Walking" is an understatement And my advice ? If you see one RUN !!! D, Anderson USMC 2/9/3 68-69

Wow this got me in the feels. Soon as you came up on the man in the truck and I saw the damage and his airbag deployed I knew he rode out that tornado in his truck. Started to cry then, and then you took him to his parents house and helped them and the dogs get out of the ruins of their destroyed home. Man that made me emotional. 😥 Thank you for helping them. ❤

As someone who was paralyzed, lost both parents n sister in a tornado before i was even 2. (i'm 40 now). This video was hard for me to watch, but i'm so glad it had a happy outcome and that everyone (and the doggies!) were safe! It took me a VERY LONG TIME to get over my PTSD of thunderstorms and tornadoes. But it's videos from chasers like you/this, that helped me. (and reoccuring nightmares). These modern cameras are able to capture some incredible footage, and i'm always blown away by the balls you all have, n how close u get to these monsters. Thank you for sharing these videos. And for helping those people.

This is total storm chasing. Best I have ever seen. Many other storm chasers have had similar experiences but they didn't get it recorded. It was a miracle for the timing to be just right so you could help others and record at the same time. Keep it up!

What a miracle those people survived in the bathroom! Thank you so much for instantly stopping the chase and going to help them. That makes you a hero and an angel. After a near miss from a tornado a few years back, we went to check on elderly neighbors who had trees and branches piled up everywhere. Within a few minutes half a dozen people showed up to help. No idea who these strangers were, and they vanished once we had the road cleared and verified our neighbors were okay. Not all heroes wear capes, and not all angels have wings. God bless you.

Yeah, such a Miracle that the house was like 50 feet from a main road that people normally drive around on. There was another car behind his as well because it's a road. Pretty sure the person behind them would have done the same. It's also a Miracle that the house was human engineered in a way to withstand a tornado... But yes don't praise the engineers who built the house that kept them alive... It's also a Miracle that they lost everything... But praise jeebus.
