No, he was talking about the tornado, tornados feed on gas, if there’s no gas then they dissipate. It looked like the tornado was slowing down immensely, so there may of not been enough gas in the air to sustain it. That’s why some tornados don’t form, or they form and fizzle out, not enough gas.

The small funnel is still there, you just can't see it because of all the dirt its kicking up. I learned that from watching Pecos Hank's videos. I also learned that the direction of the tornado can turn on a dime and go back the way it came. When this guy started saying he was almost out of gas, I thought he was extremely lucky this tornado didn't do that.

I think they are programmed to compensate for conditions ie slippery roads or heavy wind. My guess is they would be programmed to pull over if it became so windy they were unable to stay in their lane.

there have been a few incidents of storm chasers getting into car accidents actually, sometimes fatal and sometimes driving into each other because they are watching the tornado and trying to keep up with it instead of looking at the road.

It worked for Clem! You should look it up. KZbin Clem Shultz. He filmed a tornado coming straight for him and survived.. At 80 years old. His wife sadly passed away. It's the scariest video I've ever seen in my life. Especially since I'm from the Midwest and not a stranger to tornados. If you hear the warning, seek shelter. Don't mess around with this stuff! 👊👊

Thing is in the west when a Tornado forms If it’s a rope it can still look big because the ground is covered in dust from the 1930’s dust bowl And it sucks up all the dust and makes it look big Imagine a wedge tornado out there

Seriously though, if you guys would have just gotten a little closer you would’ve had much better footage, next time make sure you drive All the way up too the tornado, and then put it in park, get out, walk up too it, and get some good shots of that funnel thingy in the middle, trust me you’ll be fine bro!

It's pretty amazing that people are so passionate and willing to get this close to danger for science and curiosity. I'm sure they are on a different kind of high during this!

Usually tornadoes get wrapped in a mess of rain, so it's incredible to be able to look at a tornado this clear, and since tornadoes are made up from air usually you can't see the edge, but here the area is quite dry so the dust and dirt can clearly show the tornadoes.

Lots of sand and dust though. That's really typical of Colorado. We live in Colorado and it is so dry that often it's hard to really see how large a tornado is, because of the mounds of sand and dirt blowing around it

Growing up in Oklahoma I've been in and seen multiple tornados but they are always rain wrapped. Its always incredible to see one like this.

Oklahoma gets very few tornados compared to us in Colorado. I don't think anyone has even filmed one in Oklahoma so far. However this doesn't mean you've never seen high winds. You've just never seen a tornado. If you did you'd remember it.
