Was this run in Nairobi at elevation (1700m/5500ft)? Those were all outstanding times if they were at altitude (1:59 first four finishers, the rest just over 2:00). Congratulations to all of them.

excellent battle at the finish but the winning time is slower than the 3rd place finisher at the US trials. That is not a good sign for their fate in Paris.

If she had kept up with the people at the front, she would have easily beaten them. The young sister has a good chance of winning the gold medal if she can stay near the front in the Olympics. This is because Moraa has a greater kick than Athing Mu or Keely Hodgikinson, but the young sister of Moraa has a greater kick than Moraa the elder

@@dhktv03 I guess that is what they get for holding the Trials in Nairobi. With 4 more days left before the qualification deadline you'd think they would set up a qualification opportunity to give them one last shot at reaching the time. I see a bunch of meets in Europe and even one in Botswana though it doesn't look like too much an improvement for altitude. 1:59.3 isn't easy but she does know someone who knows how to do it.
