In Norway, their prison cell is a high luxury room with their own space because they see prison as a place to recover and learn from your mistakes and they see prison and other countries as the opposite, they view their prisons as for them to get better and recover not the other way around

It's for more like people that grew up in the streets had no perspectives or anything and they are put in somehow normal life and that is a message, that you are just like us, you just grew up in very bad habitat but YOU CAN DO IT, but need to learn how at first

@ exactly because most people I know who went to prison in America after coming out, they don’t get better. They get worse and because it’s on their record, they are not able to get a job while having to pay back the debt and many of them end up back in jailand that to me is like you cannot tell me that prison works for punishments and learning from what you did

I did 3 months in Thailand. We also were not allowed shirts and shoes. There were about 80 of us in a 30x30 cell. The space your body took up on the floor (no beds or pillows) was your personal space. I was not shackled to anything or was not forced to carry bricks, but I heard all the stories. There was a Chinese son and father who was there for 10 years, in the same room, before I got there. The son was only 16. So that kid basically grew up in that cell. Apparently, China would not acknowledge them. This was back in 2015. The embassy came and visited me every week to make sure I was surviving. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, to say the least

@@dylandenton7576 so it's kind of a long story, but the diet version is that a series of unfortunate events led me to lose my passport. I didn't report it to the embassy because I was young and stupid, and had it made so I didn't want the good times to stop. The good times didn't last very long after that. I was also involved with some shady stuff and didn't have my priorities straight. I overstayed 2 years, and by that time I was well known by local police and I couldn't afford to keep paying them. It was an insane situation. I went to a different district after telling the embassy, turned myself in, and got deported after 3 months. I'm not blacklisted or anything, I can go back, and I plan to within a year. I just had to come home and straighten my life out. I was a crazy bastard in my early 20s lol. But ive since grown into a responsible adult 😎😂

@@dylandenton7576 it's a long story, but basically I was involved in some shady stuff. I was a crazy bastard in my early 20s. I got my passport stolen, but didn't want to leave so I dodged the police for another 2 years. I got arrested 5 times for drugs and no passport, but I paid the police off 20,000 baht (roughly $800) every time and they gave me my stuff back and let me go every time. Eventually I was in too deep with what I was doing and was scared for my life. I got kidnapped at one point. It was absolutely insane. I couldn't afford to keep paying the police either. The Thai police are one of the biggest criminal organizations in Southeast Asia. So I decided to get out. I told the embassy and they said the only thing I could do was to turn myself in, which I did 2 weeks later. I wasn't blacklisted or anything, I can still go there, and I plan to next year actually. Just for a vacation though lol. I spent 8 years traveling during that point in my life. But this time, just gonna visit. I have extended family that is Tha, through my stepmother. But yeah, that's pretty much the jist of it

I did time in Texas. No Warden burger for me, but inmates in the kitchen regularly put literally SHIT and sperm into the regular food all inmates eat. Sometimes you might get a warning to not eat the beans or whatever.
