Think they’re missing Jane Toppan AKA Jolly Jane. She was a nurse in the mid to late 1800s. She has 12 confirmed victims but confessed to 31 though is suspected of more than 100. I am skeptical of the accusations levied against Countess Bathory, just far too many rumors and allegations but surprisingly, there isnt as much evidence to support the claims. Much of the evidence used to convict her was flimsy and witnesses were questionable. I think her rivals set her up with false charges, paid off witnesses, and all the evidence that we see today was planted after the fact, but because people love their horror stories, lore, and legends, the fable endured as fact to this day.
