Great review ! You were honest in your endevours to do a constructive crytique of your experience. The biscuits you mentioned are actually called scones you break them in half ( while still worm ) then add the clotted cream and jam and eat them together .

Only the main common area, although personally I was able to get a bit of a tour of the pool area due to an unique circumstance but normally no, you just just go to the common area second floor and eat. However I think there are multiple restaurants in different levels you can book.

Given that prices constantly change, I do not want to set en expectation so someone would have a bad experience when they visit/dine at the location. That;s why I put all the restaurant/location info in the comments.
