Most Expensive American Stamps - Part 3 | USA 100 Rare Valuable Invert Errors Philately

This video is about 100 American Rare Classic Postage Stamps with Invert Errors of center, frame, inscription or overprints and surcharges. These inverted stamps are scarce and therefore very valuable. United States postal history is vast and unique. US issued beautiful postage stamps depicting its important personalities, occasions, traditions, art and culture. In 1847, Congress authorized US postage stamps. The first General Issue Postage Stamp were released for sale in New York City on 1st July, 1847. One stamp depicted Benjamin Franklin and it was priced at 5 Cents. The other stamp pictured George Washington and its face value was 10 Cent. In those days the postal clerks used scissors to cut the stamps from pregummed, non-perforated sheets. In 1855, the pre-payment of letter postage become mandatory.
