from your drone footage it looks like about four pulls and the fish come up if there are any fish there...it also looks more like the splash & commotion than lure color is affecting the strike. i much enjoy your adventures and your sportsmanship. i'm an old Ulua hunter from the big island who's been spooled and reefed by some of the best of them. Jon B is a young, successful dude who is going to be surrounded by a bunch of "yes men" for the next while, which can sometimes go straight to your head. He came across as a bit pretentious in his first bit of footage(of your guys' trip with him) not knowing your name and shit. Like he just didn't care to do some homework on you guys before collaborating. With that being said, he seemed to go into student mode pretty quickly. Actually wanting to learn from you guys, and obviously him treating you to a big shopping trip is pretty redeeming. Glad he's appreciative and stoked on the queenies. Still a bunch of sick footage.

you should try nail clipper instead of scissors for braid. i saw jon b and some of the other is yters using them and went and bought the most serious pair i could from the pharmacy. they go through 80lb braid and 150lb mono like butter.

Wish I could afford lures like them, I recently moved to Mackay and try to target anything big out on the harbour rocks but lack the proper gear, I got a Diawa saltiest rod with 60lb black magic leader tied to 80lb j-Braid spooled penn wrath 8000 reel and try to mainly target the tuna out in the bay with poppers, so u got any tips on what lures to use other than poppers

Briggsy, I would absolutely love to make MorningTide some poppers and stickbaits. I use a through wire design and will make them in any length/weight you want. Red cedar sealed in spar varnish, hand painted, then coated with 2-3 layers of envirotex two-part epoxy. Hard as glass smooth as ass 🤣 🤟🏻I weight and balance every lure to ensure optimum action.
