If you carry on up road pass the waterfall about a 100yrds there is the Austrian border. One of our favourite places will be there for a week in June. Rust in peace Drone.

So sorry to see you lost your drone. We lost ours this week too! DJI offered us a reasonable discount on a replacement even though we're out of warranty so definitely worth raising a 'flyaway' case with them if you have no other insurance.

The Castle Neuschwanstein is owned by the Bavarian State.... it has many claims to fame though the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang... brought it to general attention in 1968. It is mostly unfinished so the sets of the film highlights it full potential.... a visit I made over 20 years ago with a friend via the train from Munich, as with you I did it away from the main tourist season, its a visit worth taking as you know.

If you ever get a chance go to Berchtesgaden and Lake Konigssee and up the mountain on a special bus to The Eagle's Nest, the views up there are stunning. :)

What lovely towns. Especially the first one the footage of the triangular houses was spectacular with the shadows of the houses on them. Just wow. Puts our English small historic towns to shame. 3 castles and multiple beautiful town squares. We’re lucky to get a nice church and one beginning to run down high st.

I went to Strasburg years ago and it was as pretty as an olde worlde Christmas card but very expensive and I could barely afford coffee at the most famous Cafe Bazaar. I was fifteen and hitch hiked to Greece, winding up in Parga! I was a free spirit but my lovely mum was proud of me, despite thinking the trip was to a dig in Perpignon arranged by my french class!

In Austria a place to consider a vist to is Wolfgang. I believe its where Sound of Music was filmed. Round the valley from there is Fuschl am See, the home and HQ of Red Bull. They have an amazing building. Enjoy your trip and I'm getting the popcorn ready for next vlog.

Lovely to see sun and not rain. I just love how clean everywhere is. So nice not to see mess everywhere like in the Uk. The old buildings are lovely. Think here in the Uk , we need to take a few tips on how things should be, like years ago.I guess most people would maybe just be in one place, so that wouldn’t be a bother having things repeate it would be a shame if you fancy to see something and it’s so far away, not to see it. You must enjoy driving Mark, as you do such a lot. But nice to be able to travel about. Your new areas looks a. It different. Thanks for sharing. The towns and castles are lovely and so clean. Shame about the drone but you are not the only You tubers to loose one though it is so annoying. If it had landed on a ledge Mark would have been tempted to climb down so glad it was out of sight. I went to Austria a couple of times many years ago with my mum on a sound of music coach tour so seeing you there will bring back memories.

What a nightmare, we did the same thing a few months back when we were at The Elan Valley. We never found ours, I thought it was under DJI insurance cover but it had ran out 😂 Have now replaced it with the DJI mini pro 4 and have made sure I have a 2 year insurance plan this time. I'm too bloody scared to fly the new one now...
