I'm telling you this in case you want too plant your on garden of healthy spices veggies fruits. You must live in an area where the Saffron will grow. I've heard people say they can grow the Saffron in pots in the house. Don't hold me to this I've never grew any Saffron. Remmber all good things were created by God people often say Saffron you have the name my parents were going to name me but my Family talked her out of it. Saying it wasn't on the Social Security list and its a ritch name. Blah Blah! I said I'm not ritch but I have a blessed name 🙏 People need to name their children what they like. If u like the name then it's your name. Both my parents loved the name Saffron and that's what they said I would be named If I were a Girl. My parents never told not one person what the name was until I were Born they all loved it. And my cousins when we got older they would say Mom why didn't you name me Saffron? They all love my name too this Day! So I guess it were meant for me to be named Saffron. I were the last grandchild to be born on both sides of the Family! Saffron is not recommended for pregnant women? But in Sri Lanka there is a belief that if the pregnant women drink saffron mixed milk the baby gets whiter skin. What's the truth on this. 🤔

The closest they seem to have is Afghani saffron. I'm sure it's a cousin of Iranian saffron lol. I also got depressed when I realized why Afghani saffron is so prevalent in the US. (Bc of the war & looting by US companies 😢) Omg, I also just now realized why you can't find it easy in America! Prob bc of the (deadly) sanctions against Iran by US. 😭 I'm glad I left America. I'm in Tamilnadu(husband is Thamizh) & I was told the same thing. My guess is that it's fine in smaller quantities, but larger quantities should be avoided. So a couple threads a day should be safe. I'm taking it for postpartum mood after giving birth. I didn't take it during pregnancy but I'm sure a small amount is fine! ☺ It's an amazing spice, works wonderful for my depression! 🥲❤ I take saffron & Rhodiola Rosea, there are studies this combination is very effective for depression & anxiety! 😄🙏🏻 I bought my little sister(also postpartum) some, too, once it worked so well for me. ❤
