I love watching charlie play this because I have no idea just how the fuck yu-gi-oh actually works. I have a friend who's just as into it as charlie and I've came to the realisation that this is how people react to me when I start talking about programming. Just an endless tirade of information, confusing acronyms and esoteric rules. Still like yu-gi-oh even if I don't understand and its wholesome to see someone get this animated over their passion.

I like programming as well, and did much before I got into YuGiOh, and I find it very similar and it was probably easier to learn. Much like programming, you really don't need to learn all of it at once - you just need the basic rules of the game (phases, summoning, etc.) and you learn what you need to as you go. You can start off just understanding 70% of the effects in your starter deck, and get a lot more experience as you go. Also you can't escape bugs lol, when things in your deck should work but they just don't because of weird wording or technicalities.

Sometimes the best way to get to know a deck you've built is going up against a hard opponent that will most likely beat you. Don't get discouraged, it really does take time to get to know a deck even for seasoned players. Just have fun and enjoy your duels 😁

In the Ancient Gear game, he searched Ancient Gear Fusion off of Ancient Gear Wyvern. ⁰You can activate Banquet of Millions, in response to Ancient Gear Fusion. That way Ancient Gear Fusion resolves without effect and goes to GY.

Dang you just started and you're this far ahead. That's crazy. After you reach top rank. Nothing. You just play in top rank for fun. It's one of my main worries for the game. It's not in depth enough game play wise beyond ranked. The solo is temporary, sometimes feels unfair, doesn't give good rewards, and sometimes is boring in comparison. Master duel needs a more social aspect to it besides these weird rooms.

Instead they prefer more control or flexibility, and that's what decks like eldlich offer. It's a different play style. But if only combo decks were strong, the game would be very stale.

I play odd eyes with some magicians and I don't see why. Your cards other than tuning magician, dragonpit/call discards and revolution dragon when searching all go to the extra deck. With time pendulumgraph, and some board, you could easily stall a turn if necessary

@@Mster20 links are definitely more op, links are usable by every deck, and climb into more and more effects. pendulums required a lot of conditions to get off your summon, and you lost if the scales were destroyed and your opponent had a big beater. If you ask me, links definitely don't make sense for the game as much as pendulums do
