Props to Charlie to make this game looks fun, I tried it after watching some of his videos about it and it was the most boring and annoying game I played in a very long time. Did ONE match and the other player literally took 8 minutes to play a SINGLE turn. I honestly couldn't bare it, closed the game and uninstalled, it baffles me that people willingly play like that, just go play solitaire at that point.

@@connoc5078 yeah, I dont blame you, it's really tough at first. I'd suggest playing some lower tier matches. Open a room asking to play someone using the starter decks/story decks/structure decks. Try easing into the game that way, because it gets fun when you make and break those boards. It'll feel familiar sooner or later. Sometimes the best way to get to know a deck you've built is going up against a hard opponent that will most likely beat you. Don't get discouraged, it really does take time to get to know a deck even for seasoned players. Just have fun and enjoy your duels 😁

I love watching charlie play this because I have no idea just how the fuck yu-gi-oh actually works. I have a friend who's just as into it as charlie and I've came to the realisation that this is how people react to me when I start talking about programming. Just an endless tirade of information, confusing acronyms and esoteric rules. Still like yu-gi-oh even if I don't understand and its wholesome to see someone get this animated over their passion.

I like programming as well, and did much before I got into YuGiOh, and I find it very similar and it was probably easier to learn. Much like programming, you really don't need to learn all of it at once - you just need the basic rules of the game (phases, summoning, etc.) and you learn what you need to as you go. You can start off just understanding 70% of the effects in your starter deck, and get a lot more experience as you go. Also you can't escape bugs lol, when things in your deck should work but they just don't because of weird wording or technicalities.

On the blue eyes deck, you could've waited to use battle fader and eat the 3k, kaiju slumber next turn, normal summon fader, link relinquished, equip their kaiju, then attack for 6300 dmg.

It really feels bad when someone sees a 8k+ Monster and instantly surrenders. There is a title reward for dealing over 8K in one hit in 20 games. I've only gotten it 4x and 3 of them were from Day 1... I'm not sure if anyone has gotten that title yet.

As soon as your opponent sets 5 in the backrow when going first, you either have a 80% chance they're running Eldlich, 15% chance they're running Chain-Burn, or 5% chance they're running Traptrix. Dang you just started and you're this far ahead. That's crazy. After you reach top rank. Nothing. You just play in top rank for fun. It's one of my main worries for the game. It's not in depth enough game play wise beyond ranked. The solo is temporary, sometimes feels unfair, doesn't give good rewards, and sometimes is boring in comparison. Master duel needs a more social aspect to it besides these weird rooms.

I play odd eyes with some magicians and I don't see why. Your cards other than tuning magician, dragonpit/call discards and revolution dragon when searching all go to the extra deck. With time pendulumgraph, and some board, you could easily stall a turn if necessary

Is it just me or does it turbo suck that unless you plan ahead youre fuvked if you try and data transfer I have not spent money but an insane amount of time and effort into my playstation 4 Master duel account Then i got a better phone and wanted to be able and play anywhere. And not being able to get into that account from a different device has land locked me on my playstation 4 (Also i love how Master duel isnt play to win, yeah you can spend money for more cards but i was able to get to gold ranking (impressive i know, ill be signing autographs later) without spending any money, they just drown you in cards

If you want to live in the real world though, the cards are clearly mystical in their nature dating back to ancient Egypt in their usage and can create real life versions of the cards image. The kaibacorp duel disk and holograph systems replicate this pretty decent accuracy though

I like to use my ghostrick monarch stun deck to really fuck up pretty much every meta deck in existance. Once u get vanitys fiend/majestys fiend/end of anubis with kaiser colloseum, march of the monarchs, and royal decree theyre pretty much just not allowed to play anymore lol.
