The newer generation of players are very focused on being a DPS that heals as a result. Call me old fashioned, but I like the feeling of healing someone versus forcing a janky dps rotation in there. Makes Holy Priest the most fun for me. You're hitting people with powerful heals, pulling them from the brink of death-- literally sometimes; saving lives. Before we know it, they'll just delete the heal specs and make the DPS have tons of leech and they can just heal themselves if they can maintain a good damage rotation, lol.

Dealing damage as a healer has always been a part of the role, especially since M+ started. The higher the content youre participating in is in difficulty, the more important becomes your dps contribution as a heal. Even as a holypriest. If youre not using your Holy Fire, Nova, Divine Star and SW:P in times of low incoming damage, youre just being a lazy potatoe. It has nothing to do with the newer generation of players, but with ABC - a core principle of wow since classic -ALWAYS BE CASTING.

Holy priest, once you get it in your hands, doesn't feel bloated. All those buttons work together harmoniously where you always have the right tool, its just a matter of triaging it faster and faster in those higher keys. The tier set hands down makes the spec feel really good since you have more power words, which we all love. It's the arms warrior of healers slamming people's HP bars with massive heals that make paladins blush. I really like circle of healing this patch since you are renew spamming you get really powerful healing circles from the renew tick build-up talent. So in an AOE emergency you can Sanctify 3x and 50% stronger circle of healing and it's like nothing ever happened.

I main Fistweaver since end of s1 (after the sheilungs gift changes) and I can't event begin to explain the fun you can have with this. For me it will always be the fact that you can roll into battle, and punch everyone in the face after a stomp and just see those bars fill up. I hope they don't change a thing to it, because with the current changes the specs seems almost perfect (just let's not forget about a brez or bl maybe, but hey it's already very very good gameplay wise)

Resto Shaman use to be the most diverse healer. They did it all and helped keep mana up etc. it’s really fun if you like a lot of different types of heals and support.

You are so right about holy priest with the button gloat! I've been maining mine since classic. I absolutely LOVE playing holy and setting the bar. I really wish you knew which buttons to press and during which situation to get a real feel for it. To each their own!

I've been playing wow for 15 years but never really healed much. Now I'm learning with my favourite class, the druid and I've been having a blast with all the fun talents and stuff you can do ^^ The second one I'm trying out now is disc and while it feels clunkier at low level it does get more fun with each level up

@furion7040 I totally understand. I preferred the Cata version too where it was just a passive effect, but with the rework now it has become a lot more manageable. Still takes a spot in your mental stack but they keep ironing out all the issues that makes it a bit rigid at times :)

I’m super new to the game, to run all 3 specs do you have different equipment for each one? Do u carry it all in your inventory for when u want to switch or in the bank?

@@xpnkxpacx In the case of monk. Brewmaster and Wind Walker are the same stat prio so I just swap trinkets and everything else is the same. I have different gear for Mistweaver. On your character sheet when you press "C". You can set equipment presets for different specs so it will auto equip when you switch specs. But yes you will have to carry it all. If you're brand new to the game, I'd suggest just getting really good at one as opposed to trying to learn all 3.

i play like 99% only tanks since uh long time ago... and i always make a point of knowing my healers, it allows me to chain pull stuff without ever stopping because i simply know the limits of what they can and cant keep alive, besides i play as all healer specs as well and there is nothing more boring that a group that pulls slowly it makes me want to fall asleep as a healer. so this tier list is kinda neat, tho i personally found disc priest aslways the hardest for me to play, prob because its not doing exsacly what i would expect a healer spec to do :D. the easiest was always shamy healer for me followed by holy priest that is basically the definition of a pure healer to me :D. and at least in the current patch while my alt does not have 4pc new tier set i actually struggled to keep the group alive with preservation evoker during large instant damage spikes, which if i recall it was really good againts

2 things i wanna say and 1 is i dont like grove guardians..i think its an extra button that i dont need at all like actually hate grove guardians and now wont be playing my druid this szn..and 2 for holy priests if you look up a build dont do the miracle worker build..do Lightweaver and divine image..ya dont need divine hymm dont need miracle worker..and it does bad healing tbh and damage..thats my opinion..good video!

Druids are spell casters by default so it makes sense you don’t have to shapeshift to heal. I would quit my Druid if I had to. Bear and cat make sense.

The newer super fast game play has more similarity with a FPS today than an MMORPG. I THINK it’s the reason most people like playing classic through Cataclysm. Cata just missed the mark because it wasn’t completed and ready for release. Cata tried to go back to TBC dungeon difficulty but by then they had LFG and in classic and TBC needed you to know you were taking a few good players. I played Restoration Druid and my Brother played a Rouge and my son played a warrior (best warrior I ever played with in TBC, in WoTLK he played pally tank and was even better) but my point was that while it was harder, it was way more fun and you felt like you accomplished something. Also Cata’s mythic dungeons were what they should have been. Just a harder version.
