The one guy holding the little girl in 7:23 made me tear up so much. He reminded me of my own grandpa who passed roughly a year ago due to cancer. My grandpa was probably the most selfless person in my family and has stepped in more than once in these situations. I remember when I was maybe the same age as the little girl in the purple jacket, he saw some kids playing roughly with each other. He thought they were bullying the other kid (I dont remember exactly what happened) and he just rushed over with his very chinese accent and tried to separate the kids. The kids were probably really confused (we live in Australia) cause theres just this elderly asian man waddling over shouting "wei, wei, wei" {basically yelling "oi" over and over again in cantonese} (I butchered the pinyin ik) and putting himself between them. He's done a bunch of stuff like this and I think these types of selfless people are really cool. Of course, the lady who saw the girl nearly kidnapped ran away, and there is no shame in putting yourself first - but in situations where you can help, go help. My grandma keeps telling me this story where in China, a theif stole this lady's purse and my Grandpa leapt to the rescue - beat him till he gave it back and came home with a swollen fist acting heroic - though for the next month he was paranoid and kept looking behind his shoulder every time he went outside.

I couldn't help but remember a situation that happened to me when I was in high school where I stayed after school waiting for my ride to pick me up and a group a 6 guys just surrounded me in where I was sitting. At first I wasn't worried, but then I started observing their faces and noticed that none of them went to my school. In fear, I turned to see if I had an escape plan and made eye contact with a random guy and he voluntarily sat next to me and literally saved me that day bc those guys left and he waited for my ride to come to make sure I made it home safe. So, watching those clips really brought tears to my eyes bc they really are life savers!!🙏🍃
