Optimus renouncing his title in IDW due to believing that the lineage of Primes had been corrupt from the start is a perfect example of what Optimus Prime/Orion Pax stands for. He rejects corruption, because he is a hero. He renounces the title of Prime because he believes that it represents something that he is not. He reclaims that title when he is convinced that it can still be a symbol of good. The interpretations where he goes by Orion Pax and keeps his good nature, such as the Transformers Prime iteration where he temporarily lost his memories, are by far the best. Showing that he was always worthy of his status, and that the title of Prime was just the recognition that he deserved. That even without the powers of the Matrix of Leadership, he was good at his core.

There are so many lives in those movies that have been needlessly lost *because of* Superman. Lives which the actual Superman would’ve saved in a heartbeat. These include Pa Kent, General Zod and his followers, and every single life that has been snuffed out during the final battle between Superman and Zod. I mean, he didn’t even *try* to save those people. He had absolutely no qualms about completely leveling/destroying countless skyscrapers. He flew through them as if they were just a big stack of papers. Not actual buildings with actual people inside them. Sure, the story doesn’t necessarily paint him as one itself, but it doesn’t do that to Batman either, and he just straight-up shoots people in these movies

There's a fan theory I personally rather like about Liege Maximo. It theorises that because his whole schtick was being all about lies and deceit, Liege Maximo was the first Transformer to be a Pretender, and the G2 "Demon-looking thing" version of Liege Maximo is actually the Pretender shell of the IDW "Loki rip-off" version.
