Check out the E-Flite Viper 90mm here: bit.ly/3BrXz0A Learn more about AMA here: join.modelaircraft.org/rc-saylors/ This is probably Nate's most impressive RC jet flight ever!!! This rc edf jet is the E-Flite Viper 90mm and boy is it impressive!!! This massive EDF screams through the air and can pull of some incredible aerobatic maneuvers. Flying on 6s power, we would not recommend this RC for beginners; however, with safe technology an intermediate pilot should be able to handle it and build up their skills enough to be able to tear up the skies with this giant rc jet! The single biggest thing I appreciate about your videos is the fact you are not to proud to admit to using and liking SAFE. So many pilots on KZbin and the field turn their noses up when it comes to SAFE. I figure that when a person has that much money tied up in a chunk of foam or balsa use every tool in your box. Doesn’t mean the whole flight has to be in SAFE. Thank you

50000mAh @ 30c = 150 amps and 4000mAh @ 50c = 2000 amps. 4000 will give more punch and top end and 5000 will give a more lower amp draw with a longer flight time... and your description is perfect! Thanks for the great content, I really enjoy your channel/work .... Hey maybe do a rolling/flight race between a rc car and a plane? I've never seen that done with any RC vehicle yet so far , maybe there is but i'v never seen one yet.Keep up the great vids.

You don't need reverse thrust on this Viper. Also, reverse thrust is not recommended for RC Jets in general, unless you want to suck in debris. This Viper need no more than 150' to land, without RT.

I like the mini educational part. Please add these to your future vids. If we don't already know it it's a nice refresher. I guess a 50c would last longer than a 100c as it can't be drained as quick too. I also noticed the G2 lipos are heavier than G1 cos of the extra metal in them them dissipate the heat more effectively.

Hi, Tnxs for the amazing video!! Could you please try to clear this question if you have chance to make the following test? I have an eFlite Turbo Timber Evolution, and a NX6. I would like to buy a Viper 90 and wondering if it is possible to use my NX6 to fly it and use both Safe/Select/AS3X selection and reverser with my NX6. Viper instruction manual says we can couple Flaps and SafeSelect in order to have Flaps Down Safe ON, Flaps Half Safe ON, Flaps Up, Safe OFF and AS3X ON. I tried this on my TTE but I can only have Flaps Down Safe ON, Flaps Half Safe OFF, Flaps Up, Safe OFF, as I see there is a threshold value of 88 to have Safe Select ON, therefore Flaps Half (Zero value) triggers a SafeSelect OFF. HorizonHobby explained that this is not working with my TTE as it will only work with the Viper due to different flaps mechanics. As this looks to me an electronic issue, have you the chance to crosscheck this?! Thanks a lot!!

I am not sure that your explanation of battery C ratings is correct. As I understand from sources such as AMA, the C rating tells you how much amperage the battery can deliver before it heats up to the point that the battery will get damaged. The formula for converting the C rating to the maximum safe amperage shows that the higher the battery capacity, the lower the C rating that is needed. The most important factor in the plane's power system is the motor, and the ESC should be rated to deliver the maximum amperage that the motor can draw. As long as the C rating of the battery can deliver the amperage of the ESC (assuming that the ESC is properly matched with the motor) then it does not matter if the battery C rating is higher. Batteries give C ratings not because a higher c rating will give you more wattage, but because a battery C rating needs to be just high enough to deliver the power that the motor and ESC are drawing. However I am open to be proven wrong if you have links to sources. I am no expert myself I am only going from sources such as AMA.

What is the difference between BNF basic and PNP?
@eaglefan10183 жыл бұрын
BNF basic will come with a spectrum receiver with safe/as3x installed and all servos. PNP requires you install your own radio gear, I think you also have to provide the servos for PNP, kinda unsure as I have always purchased the BNF versions.
