In the first part, you say they made Quicksink by strapping a guidance kit to a JDAM. JDAM is a guidance kit strapped to a dumb bomb. I doubt they strapped a guidance kit on top of another guidance kit. Quicksink is actually a modified JDAM package. Not an add-on. And in the video, you keep referring to it as a missile. It is not. It's a bomb.

The first ever parachute division was not "American in the mid 1940's during WW2"... It was German in 1938, Followed by Britain in 1940... these were joint large units... That's a few years before America ever sent a single soldier to fight in WW2. The first PURE parachute only regiment/division was 1941 British Army followed by German Wehrmacht in 1943 (of which were converted from the previous joint units) and later that year USA.

My dad was a air force pilot that dropped paratroopers out of a C130 during the gulf war... he had the same incident happen (a failed chute deployment resulting in paratrooper dangling from the line behind the plane) while he was piloting. Instead of pulling the guy back in though, the jump master simply cut the guys line. Apparently, that was NOT the proper procedure, although I do think the guy lived... at least my dad never specifically said that he had died, but now that I'm thinking about it, he never explicitly said that he lived either. He did say that he had to fill out quite a few incident reports though.

It is the proper towed jumper procedure if the jumper is conscious. If they are not conscious they try to pull him back in the aircraft. If they can't do that they foam the runway and land with the towed jumper. Just sayin.

Imagine seeing around 10 APC driving up to your trance front-line, backed up with infantry & a few armored once & a long range pepper suppressing fire, either from long range afar or helicopter, something in combine... at the same time those 10 or so APC´s release those white ropes into your lines? :-s And then breach the front-line right afterwards? BR AN.
