I visit the incredible Ming Tombs at Zhongshan Mountain in Nanjing China. The Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is beautiful with lots of ancient Chinese architecture, stonework and designs. I fly my drone in 4k quality close to the tomb and we see the amazing Chinese history on display in the buildings and landscaping. This tomb is hundreds of years old and the Emperor of the Ming Dynasty Hong Wu is buried here. He was a working class man who grew up in poverty and remarkably eventually became the emperor of China. I show real everyday life at the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum on a beautiful sunny day in China with snow on the ground. This video is all filmed in 4k quality.

Filmed on Sunday the 17th of December 2023. This was a beautiful sunny day and also a little cold because the previous day was snowy and the temperature was still low. There was still some snow on the ground and buildings which made the place even more beautiful. The tomb had quite a few tourists but it wasn't busy. This place is beautiful, especially the buildings, stunning nature and the stone animals.

A note for 0:33. According to the Ming royal chronicles, Hong Wu himself denied the feat of defeating the Yuan Dynasty. Instead, he said that what he did was leading the people to get rid of all the rioting warlords. The first Emperor of the Ching Dynasty also professed to have done the same. Hence the founders of new dynasties as a rule preserved the imperial tombs of former rulers. This might be a precaution against future rebellions.

Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻🙂 I don’t know much about the Ming Dynasty but what I read was interesting. I wanted to share more of the interesting history but also didn’t want to block the picture or audio much as I think it’s such a beautiful place visually and you can really feel a sense of the history there.

Thank you for the insight, sadly grave robbers are everywhere in the Ancient or Modern times. Would be to nice if the tombs were all intact.

That was an awesome video! Xiao and I just sat there in silence watching it from beginning to end. Great shots, music, editing and what an incredible blue sky day as well - it looked chilly, but worth it. Keep the videos coming!

Hello from Sydney Australia. You’re very fortunate to be able to visit this ancient historical site. I’m beginning to realise my parents homeland has a long and complex history. I will visit China one day , a country with a 5000 year history, which does not live in the past. Moving forward towards the future , with contemporary China.

Hello Sydney! 😃 for sure, Chinese history goes back a long way and is very interesting. I hope you will have chance to visit one day. Growing up I always dreamed of visiting Australia! And I hope to visit one day 👍

You’re welcome to visit . Australians are similar to the British, considering that Australia was a former British colony about 200 yeadd re s ago. Prior to British colonialism , the original Australians are the aborigines. They have inhabited Australia for 40,000 years . A long time , even older than Chinas history .

Thanks Roger 👍🙂 Yeah, all the Aussies I’ve met have been very friendly. Even if we do have the ashes rivalry ! The aborigines are very interesting, I once read they would sometimes take many weeks to think over a response to a question or important decisions. There wasn’t any social expectation to respond quickly. I also like their music.

Im a A.B.C. Australian born Chinese. That's why I can speak , read & write in English . I can speak in Cantonese , the dialect that is from Guangzhou southern China, with 95% accuracy. . I learnt from my parents , though I think I need to learn some conversational Mandarin if I decide to visit China.Cantonese is a completely different dialect to Mandarin. I have enough trouble trying to converse to the Mandarin Chinese speakers here in Sydney, as most can't speak Cantonese and I don't speak any Mandarin, so both sides need to speak in English. Yes, most Aussies are laid back, not all though. Just talk about sport- Cricket, soccer , rugby and you strike up a conversation. If you're into Aboriginal Art , you see a lot of it, in the museums here. They have Aboriginal music live concerts here , though not sure of the exact dates, locations and times. Keep uploading your Nanjing , China videos. I think they're excellent.

China is vast and culture and history so rich you'll need many lifetimes just to see it, let alone understand it. But this is a good start.

Acturally I prefer Nanjing to Shanghai since it is more relaxing. Also, I prefer Ming Xiaoling to Dr Sun's tomb since Ming Xiaoling should be in line with the Chinese classical style for emperors, not the No. 1 revolutionary leader in modern history Dr Sun's burial site.

I agree, the Ming Xiaoling is one of my favourite places here. I actually never visit Dr Sun's tomb because every time I go I enjoy either going up the mountain or visiting the Ming Xiaoling area
