I’m a bit doubtful about the Oshkosh concrete mixer running on batteries considering that large exhaust stack 2/3rds of the way back

I think they used footage of old one but new mixers are powered by batteries. Checkout the link, it's at second place on the page. www.oshkoshcorp.com/en/brands-innovations/electric-vehicles

3:28, keep in mind electrcal energy must be generated, and, depending on the technlogy used to do so, has varying carbon footprints.

Yeah but when you compare both, EV's are 77 percent efficient compared to 45% of diesel engine. That means if your engine is using one litre of diesel, 55% of is wasting into heat and smoke. Imagine if every vehicle on the road is wasting 55%. Sure power plant consumes but renewable energy can fix this. However, burning fuel is not in favor of environment and the cost you pay.

Why is there a muffler and exhaust pipe just passed the mixer on the right-hand side of the vehicle. I don't think battery-powered Vehicles need an exhaust pipe and a muffler. Were it not for Chernobyl and Three Mile Island if we run off a nuclear reactor.

I like your videos but you are going to have to educate yourself on all this electric vehicle crap because what do you do with all the old batteries and it is cheaper to build new batteries than recycling them and what are you going to do when they can no longer make batteries that can keep up with the power demand oh yeah where do you get the electricity to charge them Hope you have a blessed day

That's a very good point. We should consider it too. In fact, I did some research, but that still needs validation from a research piece, as some lobbies are against batteries. After that I will get back to you.

Most of the known lithium supply is in Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Australia and China. Democratic Republic of the Congo has the largest cobalt reserves. So for the US and many countries, we're going to pay through the nose.

@@MrCarnutbill67 report from the US Geological Survey, graphite mining in the US has long since stagnated. In fact, the metal has not been mined in the country since 1990, when United Minerals suspended operations at its graphite mine in Montana. As a result, the US now imports all of the graphite it requires
