Actually the rogue just went AFK. They've changed it so that you won't lose time on your turn when you havent finished going through animations. This can be seen clearly when you have a nozdormu in play, as your opponent won't always start roping instantly like they should be.

I had my fun in HS (talking about the discussion DT had about the meta) but I noticed that I needed to dump a massive amount of money in order to even have fun, now I am playing ES Legends and I can make bullshit decks out of the starting cards plus a couple of pre constructed decks thy are selling in the store. Yes in legends there are pre constructed decks for every expansion, 5 per expansions that cover the different mechanics for that expansion.

Re: hearthstone being not fun -- I think the large issue is Blizzard trying to push legendaries as "key cards" therefore inevitably creating metas centered around them. Old legends used to either be staples (rag, sylv, old Dr. Boom), or "kinda fun cards you can add or not" (Carine, Troggzor Earthinator, Jaraxxus, hell, even Tirion wasn't REQUIRED). Nowadays it's basically "you MUST have grumble AND shudderwock AND a few others" for a shudderwock deck, but that deck TEARS THROUGH PEOPLE. This incentivizes people to buy packs since old-skool budget midrange hunter decks with nothing but commons and rares that would tear through the ladder aren't possible, and bliz doesn't WANT them to. This is why it's not fun anymore; it's not even power creep, but rather Bliz pushing "key card" deckbuilding to further vampire money which in turn pidgeonholes metas.Hell, look at death knights. Look at quests. The definition of "he does his thing, I do my thing" rather than interactive pvp play. Literally ALL IT WOULD TAKE is to print cards that are less meme-able. Like, in Boomsday, there was huge potential for just printing a lot of weird magnetic cards and no real "key card"s. Instead, we get Dr. Boom. We get Zilliax. etc etc. How we had it in pre-Frozen Throne (the expansion where it all went to crap IMO), where we had SUPER WEIRD decks like TEMPO DRAGON WARRIOR that were somehow really good; weird Reno decks (where Reno was GUARANTEED if you saved up a relatively modest amount of gold and bought the adventure), etc etc. Ironically, less meme/keycards would make the game less twitch-able and give streamers like you more straightforward content rather than "OMG LOOK AT DIS AMAZIGN COMBOO," further de-incentivizing Bliz from doing so.

At least the meta isn't defined by one OP OP deck and it's counters... *cough* Old Cubelock *cough* I'm free to play player, and I'm making even shaman deck for standard. I can't get all legendaries, like "WiNd ObeY Mi CoMmAnD!" or the "3 mana 3/3 - next spell cast twice" but it's playable deck even with just Hagatha and giants from the expensive stuff. I also have Shudderwock and Grumble for more of a combo approach if the meta becomes too control-heavy. It's not really hard to make competitive deck, but you must adjust your dream deck towards what you already have. I chose shaman cuz I got Grumble from pack and then crafted Shudderwock in the first day of expansion hype over the OTK combo. Then I knew I would stick with Shaman because of all that investment.

Hunter, the cheapest class to make decks with now basically require you craft deathstalker rexxar. Midrange Hunter got power creeped and no one runs highmanes anymore.

I actually think they did a good job with Boomsday. Dr. Boom is good, but because of the randomness of the hero power, some odd warriors choose not to run him. The only deck he's a staple in is mechontrol warrior (I think). Also, Zilliax is kind of like the Rag and Sylvanas of old; there are decks that run him as their only mech, making his magnetic pointless. I believe the problem lies mostly with Baku/Genn, death knights, and quests, which I really hate to say, because I love the idea of all of those cards.

Climbed from rank 25 to rank 12 this season, still going. Like to think I have a pretty good understanding of the lower half of the ladder atm. Rank 25-20 are using basic cards and trash legendaries like Mukla that they randomly unboxed, and you could climb from rank 25 to rank 20 just playing a basic cards only mage deck if you wanted to. Up til rank 15 you will not actually find many meme decks so much as you just run into a whole bunch of not-fun-just-bad decks like elemental mage and tempo non-Genn shaman. Rank 14-13 seem to be mostly zoo warlocks and a rogues of the Baku, quest, and miracle varieties. This will probably be out of date in a week but whatevs.

After realising, i watched Kripps video, that this combo isn't just insane but also broken you cannot win against it, even if it is only half ready, so Toast, if you see this, could you try to delay the turn of your opponent on purpose and show the whole community how broken it is.
