Solved it in 4 mins. Wonderful question I just substituted x-k as t and found the value of integral by drawing the graph. After substitution x-k=t we will get integral 0 to 1 sqrt(-t^2+t). Now we can break The inner quadratic into perfect squares and integral will be area under a semicircle. After that the problem is very easy just limit as a sum

π/16 Edit- substitute x= t+k and then you get beta function independent of k. And limit becomes integral of xdx from 0 to 1

i also did this but by a different method first subsitute x=k+t then the integral will be way lot simpler and then we just have to do summation of k. apply wallis theorem similar question asked in A 2015 in multiple correct one whose ans was e^4pi-1/e^pi-1 for a belongs to R

Nice thing you did there. But I remembered a result taught in my class and I must say that was much easier: Integration of f(x) from a to b can be written as integration of f[(b-a)x+a] from 0 to 1... And then you know what I mean.

A little suggestion from my side : You can make a telegram grp where you post some intresting problems relevant for jee adv 2022 as a challenge and then can create a sol video if its really hard or involves a specific trick/method. it will be very useful to push our brain limits in thinking creatively.

It can be done very easily without any substitution because the integral function inside Sigma(excluding) k....is constant function because it's derivative comes out to be zero....from there I put k=0....and got that function as pie/8 ..then just two line calculation and got answer as pie/16

Yoi can't directly put k = 0 since the value is constant but it is not compulsory that for every k the function will have same constant value.
