Gr8 accommodations with even greater friends/subscribers/hosts. TPL peeps must be among the greatest.// Catherine looked especially lovely in her traveling to Makati outfit, gave me a Parisian vibe, tres chic. She was very decisive with her Filling Station meal, that side did NOT make the cut it appeared! 😆Or maybe she is one of those that doesn’t like the different foods crowded on the plate….whatever the case I found it a cute catch by the cameraman. Handsome in pink …or rather salmon ! 🍣// Contd Xmas Season blessings to M, C , L & all the TPL viewers. 🎄👶🏻👑

P.s. after watching most recent live, I will amend to 99.99% of TPL peeps are the greatest esp hosts & then becoming friends! That person who prematurely or falsely offered y’all accommodations in Bohol acted terribly. Should’ve at least cancelled or apologized, even if he or she couldn’t reimburse the plane tickets. Stuff happens but to just ghost is terrible. // on positive side, I hope the Pototan family that has hosted XMAS TPL is well esp their elder patriarch & ladies & the cute little ones esp that precocious & whip smart little boy (gonna be Prez someday I bet). Enjoying Philippine cuisine as I do, the Luzon restaurants aren’t beating that family’s Xmas spread! Yum.

Next time I get back to Makati I will definitly go back again. Where that Caddy is, is where I sat both times I was there. I have been told if they will not use the meter then find another taxi. When I was there all the fares ended up about 300-350 peso. The only time I took a taxi that did not use the meter was if they quoted the same price or less than the meter price.

Makati business district is nice but it was designed and developed in the 1960s and the planning lack many considerations that are necessary for a walkable and people-friendly business district. BGC is specifically designed for people: wide sidewalks, covered walkways, trees and greeneries, lighting, art installations, water features, pocket parks or play areas, benches and tables choices of eateries nearby, 6 malls to choose from, safety and convenience.
@albathoughtsofficial20 күн бұрын
Would just like to clarify a point that's not mentioned much: Yes, BGC is arguably the most modern CBD in Metro Manila, but it's newness also means there is a huge lack of tall trees around. So it gets very hot there. The covered walkways are only a very small percentage of the walkways, mainly only in the High Street area. The wide sidewalks are nice, but they radiate a lot of heat. Makati is older for sure, but it's Greenbelt area has the largest canopy of towering old growth trees in Manila. They provide much needed shade and cool down the local neighborhoods, and absorb the carbon dioxide and pump fresh oxygen back into the environment. It's a miracle all those beautiful gigantic trees were preserved. They also are the centerpiece of 6 large parks, where people can really exercise and kids can run around. The "parklets" in BGC are too small. Poor planning. Also, Greenbelt has the longest elevated walkway system in the Philippines. You can walk from Makati Medical center, next to North Ayala Exchange, to the new One Ayala mall. That's a distance of over 2 km where you can continuously walk above the street, and car and noise pollution, and also be completely sheltered from either rain or hot sun. And along your wonderful walk, you will find that the Greenbelt malls, Landmark Department store, Glorietta malls, SM Mall, and One Ayala mall are all connected to one another! Another advantage of Makati Greenbelt is it's system of subway paths and outdoor escalators so you don't have to wait for the light to change to cross it's busy main roads. So for walkability, Makati leads all other cities by a HUGE margin. You will sweat a lot if you are trying to walk to and from the 6 disconnected malls in BGC. And driving from one mall to another would be an additional hassle. But Greenbelt and BGC are very close to one another. Just pick the bubble you prefer and visit the other place whenever you want. I enjoy Greenery and Walking, so it's Greenbelt Makati for me.

@@juanverweij If you read my comment it's not above a love of malls, otherwise I might live near MegaMall or MOA, which are the biggest malls. My post was first about greenery and appreciation for large, old trees, and secondly about walkability. Also I state that BGC is nice but it's just my personal preference for Greenbelt because of all the green parks there. You may have another preference, but you don't need to insult someone else in order to express it. Wish you a Happy New Year!
