Nashik is a foodie's paradise! I stuffed my face in the three days that I was there, and Divtya Budhlya Wada was my first stop!

Lip-smackingly delicious, Maratha style mutton dishes were a great start to my Nashik food tour!
The mutton paya soup was soothing to the throat. The mutton curry in the Divtya Budhlya Special Mutton Thali woke me all my senses up thanks to all the spicy heat it had!
We also tried some other mutton sukka dishes, mutton bheja fry and to top it all, Indrayani rice!

One of the first person who tasted Indrayani rice back in 1991 when it was introduced.. I tried it at Donje at the foot of Sinhgad fort which was named in the honour of Tanhaji Malusare,the great maratha warrior... The rice was yielded in sir's khachar ( rice field). They asked us it was new type seed and just thrashed a week ago and asked taste it.. We enjoyed with Indrayani rice with pitala ,a kind of traditional basan preparation...and immediately understood this going to buzz around... Today Indrayani rice is the most favorite among people in Western Maharashtra...
