This fight was so down to the wire it's unbelievable. According to Matt, if anyone but Grog had gotten that killing blow on Kevdak the Herd wouldn't have stopped fighting. Because they're outsiders interrupting a one on one fight, and the Herd doesn't respect or recognize them. But the Herd knew Grog, and respected that the fight between him and Kevdak would end in one of them dying. And Grog dropped out of the sky onto Kevdak with ONE HP LEFT. If he had missed, or hadn't done enough damage to end him with that one blow? Kevdak would have gotten a full round of attacks on an unconscious Grog and killed him. Or if any other VM member managed to down Kevdak before Grog could? The Herd would have kept fighting. So many ways this fight could have gone wrong, and it was a combo of luck and brilliant plays that made it go so so right!

Time dilatation is one word for it. I had one of my campaign parties go to the Fae realm for around a week, they get back and find out they been gone for a year, LOL. Actually it has been a bit of a pain in the ass for me as I have 2 campaigns in the same world in the same area. So with one party now 1 year ahead of the other I have to be careful as to events that one or the other party may hear of or be impacted by.

Hey, Dragons. This episode was what I was waiting for: The "Air Drop Critical Kill" that killed Kev'Dak. In-game, Travis (the voice of Grog) literally went Reckless Attack, which allowed him to have Advantage on his attack roll against Kev'Dak. His first roll: Nat 1. Second roll: Nat 20. The new ability you see here? Frenzied Rage, which is another level -- and was unlocked in the animated series by seeing Pike in the danger she was. Additionally, this episode is actually more than one episode of the campaign, as Grog yelling out, "VOX MACHINA, FUCK! SHIT! UP!", was actually the end of the first episode of the campaign where Grog fought Kev'Dak. As for Kaylee, she is, in fact, Scanlan's daughter. You also got to meet in the previous episode Dr. Dranzel, the half-orc entertainer who Scanlan traveled with in his pre-Vox Machina life. Now, I will say that the story in the campaign happened a bit different, as meeting Kaylee happened way before the Chroma Conclave attacked Emon. Put it this way: Kaylee didn't reveal who she actually was, or what her intentions were, until she had Scanlan up in his room in Greyskull Keep, and she had a knife, a dagger, pointed at him. Kaylee will become a lot more relevant in the story, probably at the end of Season 3, if the way things are going is any indication. But seriously, go check out Episodes 54 and 55 of Critical Role, Campaign 1, and watch how everything went down. You'll need about 8 hours, combined, roughly, to watch them, but it is so worth it.

@@ShadowyFox_86 : Because Grog was already enraged fighting Kev'Dak, and when Pike got threatened, his rage went up another level. It's different than the rage Grog showed when VM fought Brimscythe. By the way, Frenzied Rage is accurate to Travis using Frenzied Rage in the live-play campaign during episodes 54 and 55, when Grog fought Kev'Dak during Campaign 1.

For Glacier; she hasn't shown up yet, but there is a female white dragon who is single that will appear in the Mighty Nein animation: Gelidon - the Nightmare in Ivory. I would say be careful, she bites, but that might just be foreplay for dragons, I don't know. :)

😂 Cassandra didn't have anything to do with the illusion protecting Whitestone. She doesn't have magic at all. Allura and Gilmore together created it, which is why one of them is always in charge of maintaining it. As far as Kevdak's monologue, he's able to because no one else is involved in this fight. Technically, Vox Machina attacking Kevdak would violate the rules and mean that the Herd of Storms would kill them. The party was barely hanging on the whole time, and it was quite literally Grog killing Kevdak that stopped the fight. If anyone else in Vox did, the Herd would've murdered everyone. 😂

Seriously, though! I'd love to see a spinoff about Scanlan's children all meeting one another and forming their own small army. The soundtrack, alone, would be epic! Not to mention, as promiscuous as he is, lots of his kids would probably be half-gnomes and could fit in to many different character classes.

Groon is human, but he's also a highly ranked and deeply devoted servant of the Stormlord, Exandria's god of warriors and valor. Was it a vision from the Stormlord, perhaps, or did Groon's keen insight into Grog's weaknesses just strike enough of a chord to come back to him when he needed it the most? Who's to say?
