I would only release my fish in a isolated pond in one of my friends yards. Don’t release fish into the wild to mess up the ecosystem
@Steemoney
@Steemoney 6 жыл бұрын
Luke Dombrowski even then its still illegal because ducks land in ponds and those eggs can be transferred that way as well. Just be careful bro, if DNR catches you guys doing stuff its a huge fine and you get your fishing license revoked. Not hating on you just letting you know what I know.

You know what Luke...it's illegal, but a lot of people speed and that is illegal too. Just try and be as responsible as you can with your decisions, and don't talk about it on your videos (Don't ask, don't tell). Just will make it easier on you. It's no one else's business.

Minnows is being used here in the Philippines as Mosquito Control, it eats Mosquito larvae .... It's very helpful here... But there , you're just using it as a live feeds to your Carnivores aquarium fishes.. that's really a lot.

Those fish are not minnows they are mosquito fish Gambusia Holbrooki and are common thru out the southeastern states and north to New Jersey Penna DE Maryland, Gambusia Affinis is the western mosquito fish, caught some mosquito fish at a local pond here in Lancaster PA so they are hardy enough to survive under a blanket of snow and ice to repopulate in the spring.

@@LukeDombrowskimosquitofish and minnows are different species of fish from different families minnow is the term used for small fish species from carp family meanwhile mosquito fish are fish that give birth to live young from livebearers family (if they were minnows they would not overpopulate that pond you have put the rest in but because they are mosquitofish they are gonna breed like crazy and their babies will grow very fast as well you will have infinite amount of food for your fish if so)
@Indoraptor_2012

Although they are sometimes called minnows, mosquitofish are not true minnows but are instead a genus of livebearers, more closely related to guppies, mollies, and platies.

Luke, love videos but what you said about the releasing the fish is illegal. The only reason some exotics are found in ours lakes and canals are due to irresponsible fish keepers that didn’t research the fish bought. Oscars and Pacu are South American fish, meaning Amazonian fish. Releasing exotics can ruin our native ecosystems. Please post a video explaining why what you said was wrong. You have kids watching and you should lead by example and part of that, is being a responsible fishkeeper not giving bad & illegal advise. My advise to you is to do some research by visiting MyFWC.gov

Those crawfish aren’t playing with you... take care, buddy. Question? I live by a state park and lake - I also live far from a pet store. When the weather turns here at the Jersey Shore, I’m going to dig for crickets and earthworms for my Oscars and Gold Severums in my 120 gallon aquarium. Do you think I should feed them minnows from the lake? I think I shouldn’t because those Minnows likely have a natural resistance to certain diseases and if I feed them to my fish, they may cross contaminate my captive pets. What do you think? I trust the water source here in Cape May, NJ but I’m not so sure. I’m glad i subscribe to you and glad that you feed from a wild source. You seem ok with doing so.
