Good job Abby. I painted my Conscendo Evolution with a day-glow orange and yellow paint job. It's a lot easier to see now. I also added 2 position flaps which allow me to land at a walking pace. I love this incredible airplane.

Probably one of the best RC foams in this size and price category. I flew a colleague's Conscendo with 4S. Nothing bends and there is endless vertical climb. Plane with a very wide speed range. Flight performance is better than my previous FunRay. Can be flown incredibly slowly and still remains easy to control. Preferably with 3S for beginners.

I find the conscendo very easy to fly, but can be a challenge to get it to land as it wants to float at ground effect and still retains some speed. So good job Abby.

This brings me back to learning to fly on gliders off of Hi-starts in the 80's. The slow flight periods look so familiar. Having electric power to get you out of trouble is nice! I would totally fly this one like an old school unpowered glider and miss the 'warmliner' joy, probably. Nice landing, Abby!

I totally understand Abby's "I've hit x" comments. A good friend of my was doing a maiden on a friend's piper cub many years ago....he was a very skilled RC pilot. There one 1 tree in the flying zone. ONE! The plane found a way to enter the tree on the opposite side of all of us...and the fuselage exited the tree on our side. ONE. TREE. Great job Abby!!!

Abby, we will call the first maneuver the "modified corn hole," the real corn hole is when you go vertical then jam the sticks quickly to the upper left and right corners, it's a pretty violent maneuver that puts a lot of stress on the air frame. Awesome flight, not many pilots well fly in that kind of wind, that was fun to watch....

Flew my Conscendo maiden this morning. Really nice plane. My third RC. Also have ASW-17. Easy to fly. First flight on 3s and second on 4s. Big performance increase. Going to be a good slope soarer.

The Radian is much "floaty-er" if thats even a word. lol Btw. The only thing with the radian is that its not as Sporty as the Concendo. BUT it stays in the air longer due to its high glide ratio. Both are awesome. I flew my radian with a 2000mah 3s battery for 1hr.. When I landed I still had 3.85v PER CELL!!! I prob could of flew for another 30mins or so.. 1:30min flight!!! I was gliding had the throttle off and I only turned on the throttle to climb to super high altitude and turn off the trhottle and glide down back to earth. Unfortunately the Radian is no longer being sold and is discontinued. I keep my Radian as a shelf queen bc Parts are very rare now and days.. I take it out once in a while but im very careful not to crash it lol.

I had my maiden in this thing yesterday! Didn't go so well.. Ended up in the trees twice! lol I think I was flying it okay, but I had to go really high (still getting used to that) and this thing is just fast. Need lot's of wide open space to fly this thing comfortably. You guys are lucky to have such open area to fly, I'm jealous.

I destroyed my 2nd one the other day. I love the model, and will still buy another one. Even destroyed, you get about $120-$140 worth of parts so I dont feel too bad. I wiped the 637TA receiver and installed it in a new plane (OMP Bighorn) Like you said, this is an outstanding windy day plane. It can get away from you, being so fast, but it can do a lot of fun aerobatics, and still give you the true glider experience if you want.

I have the previous model version (advanced). This is my favorite stress free flyer. Just remember to start your final a little further out than normal. Its definitely a floater. Its also one of the planes I'll take over to Muncie at the end of the month. Hoping for a good thermalling day then.

I am trying to find a decent thermal glider. What grade would you give this glider at signaling thermals and staying lifted? I would love to see it compared with the ZOHD Drift. Is the Conscendo a good flyer, but maybe not so good for thermals? It seems like it might be a tad heavy on those still days when it's perfect for thermal gliding. Just a guess.

I get mine to thermal on a warm day with no wind, I haven't thermaled anything else, so I can't compare it. I usually look for the buzzards and join them in the air

I just bought my 2nd glider, the Super Surfer from Banana hobby. It has close to an 8 foot wingspan, and is more of a true glider. Its almost too big, and if I had to drive it somewhere to fly it, I never would...fortunately I have my own field. Just getting it in and out of the house is an adventure. But boy does it glide. There are lots of awesome gliders out there, but not many sport gliders like the Conscendo. If it had flaps it would be perfect.

Since you're not chasing thermals with it, or slope soaring it on a nice hill or ridge, program in some reflex on one of the switches for less "floaty" landings. 5-8 degrees up on the ailerons should do the trick. With a 3 position switch you can have 0-2-5 degrees. 2 för speed and wind penetration.

Abby, you flew right through a strong thermal at least 4 times (follow the hawk as he drifts downwind). I fly the same Evolution version in a weight-waving configuration (small 3S) and with the CG back/no SAFE and it does thermal well. Nate, I would bet you Abby would love to learn to thermal-hunt... and it might lower her blood pressure as opposed to trying to battle 25 MPH winds :)
