I used to work the night shift maintenance at the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone. One night I got a call that a room had now power. This happens from time to time if a circuit breaker flips and it's easy to fix. But this night it wasn't the circuit breaker. Someone had taken all the light bulbs out of the lamps. So it does happen, people taking the lamps.

In his defense, most people in the US aren't familiar with ewes unless they raise them. Sorta like everyone calls a bovine animal "a cow" even though that actually only correctly refers to female cattle.
@icturner235 жыл бұрын
Jovetj It’s literally not like that at all. The cow thing is trying to be pedantic but ignoring the fact that words often have a range of meanings with different levels of specificity. Almost everyone over seven knows what a ewe is.

Not sexual. A "shower" is a party given for a woman before her wedding or giving birth, where other people (usually women) give her gifts that she'll need for starting wedded life/a family. In a sense, she's being "showered" with gifts -- hence the name. So the host was asking about bridal showers and the husband answered as if it were washing-up showers. Does that make sense?
@mikehike5966 жыл бұрын
It absolutely makes sense! Yet I now feel a bit ashamed, because I did not consider that kind of "bridal shower" either. I was thinking, why would she have taken more than one bathroom shower? She must have wished to be super clean for her wedding night lovemaking. (So if I were that man, people would have been laughing at me, too. Luckily, I was born too late for that Newlywed Game episode.)

Considering the source of this video, it's not surprising that the most outrageous clip ever wasn't included. It was a mid-'70s clip from "The Newlywed Game", and they ask the female contestant "what's the strangest place you and your husband have ever made whoopee?", and the woman comes back with "I'd say ... in the ass!" (You see, the question asks for a specific place like in a car, in a movie theater, etc, and she thinks they mean an orifice that ... oh, never mind ... )
