The Nez Perce indians were being pursued by the Army who were hot on their trail driving them to the ambush spot at the mouth of the canyon where other troops awaited them. In the morning the soldiers could hear singing and watched as the whole tribe skirted the ambush by traveling high up on the canyon wall where only the mountain goats traveled. A genuine certifiable miracle witnessed by many.

He has a great massage and I agree with him we don't need to be foolish in spirtul stuff but he makes a big mistake at 4 38 seconds . Tje guy that gode into the water up to him neck isn't a man it's the rod that he and Aaron carry around tjat turns into a snake tjat eat the other snake staffs when Aaron contended with the Pharoahs staff snakes the rod staff thing tjat hit the stones to make water. The rod tjat turned all the water into blood in Egypt. The rod Nehustan from the tree of knolage of good and evil that barffed out the fire serpent staffs tjat Aaron had ot eat . The fire serpents bit the people and they made the bronz serpent staff to look at and be cured . 2end kings 18 4 kjv he removed the high places and broke the images and cut down the groves and brake in pices the brazen serpent that Moses had made for in those days the children of israel did burn insence to it and he called it Nehustan......... there you go I could go on how it baptized them in fire made the sacrament water to go with the light bread manna from heaven ect but I think you get my point that the rod staff spear thing Nehustan from the tree of knolage of good and evil made the water paths. Not a man

This miracle is really about finding God inside ourselves (and in others) / connecting more with Him. Which at its core involves obeying Him in everything (and joyfully not just out of duty) including not panicking. Everything first went wrong when Adam and Eve panicked in the Garden of Eden instead of trusting in God's goodness and power.

That is a profound message as usual Rabbi Friedman, thank you. I am sorry to read the nonsense salad in the comments. People are so confused, they cannot even make the difference between, Torah or Mishna, between real facts and between a lesson taught. More than a lesson, a glimpse in universal knowledge and the truth we will one day be able to comprehend. It made me realize that Exodus is way more than it appears, in our introspection and the way to live our life.

Great message as usual. I love your calming somewhat monotone delivery with the, occasional and perfectly timed, extended pause between points or counterpoints. They make you lean forward in your seat waiting on the next utterance. I'm not Jewish; but the God that I worship is. I've been studying Ancient Hebrew and Aramaic through Torah for close to 6 years now and love to get your insight on everything that I don't realize that I got wrong until I hear your 3 basic tenants. 1. God needs us 2. It doesn't make sense 3. It's so logical... Thanks so much for sharing your purpose with me. BTW 12 Tribes would have 23 water walls. The two nearest the center would share a common center wall. Shalom Aleichem שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם

i appreciate deeply, Rabbi and all Jews. i have happy time, taking care of my old father, being encouraged by your precious teachings. G-d exists everywhere, as conscious. That is G-d’s light. We can make the conscious stronger by good deeds ( the study of the Torah, prayer, charity and making peace among people). We should grab the “ after 70 years”. We should reveal the surface of our souls, the surface of the ground. G-d and we can do it. G-d bless you and all warm children.

Other accounts detail how Moses commanded the north winds to blow thereby blowing water out of the gulf revealing the shallow raised strip of land bridging the expanse. With the water level lowered the highest points of the ocean floor was exposed and enabled people to cross. I have heard many different accounts and this makes the most sense to me.

That was a beautiful message, and even more important, real. And the crossing of the Red Sea (Gulf of Aqaba, as you mentioned, at Nuweiba) was astounding, and an astounding Devine setup: The gulf there is almost a half mile deep and over nine miles wide, yet the slope in and out is relatively gentle, and is a wide land bridge, allowing Israel to cross as a crowd, rather than millions taking endless hours in single file; the depths plunge off steeply on either side. They also crossed at night, which would have been a mercy, taking the edge off the horror off 2,500 ft. walls of water on either side. But, initially, God trapped Israel there on the beach, with Pharaoh's army having come to the mouth of the wadi: there was NOWHERE to go--mountains, water, army--and death was imminent. And this was the Devine setup: as you so wonderfully put it, there was nothing for Moses and team to do but go where God was calling them. God did the impossible and they contributed by obeying.

9:54 that is a very interesting point. One of my groups, we discuss sobriety. We equate moving to sobriety, from another state, as being on a beach and making the decision to cross the ocean. No one in my group considered this option. Perhaps I should. I more than believe in HASHEM. Being on the beach. It has its allure. But that allure takes its strength from what is on the other side of this ocean, and merely hanging out on the beach, dreaming wondering hoping praying, these are all good, Yet crossing that Ocean, is actually the goal; the plan. Yet, How? We should have an idea as to how to ask for help, and I don’t mean miracles. It’s a miracle I am even alive. All thanks belongs to Him.
