Nice video. Good to see someone clean up and good to see conservation officers out. I got stopped on Lake Ontario a month ago and the guy couldn’t have been nicer.

Yeah, they are great around here too. I hate seeing garbage in these areas too.

Nice day on the river Andrew and a nice carp for the effort. I’ll ever understand how people think it’s ok to leave their trash out in the wild. Good to see you my friend.

@@ActuallyAndrewFishing yeah unfortunately I tore my Achilles last week and am going to have surgery on Thursday. Out of action for 12 weeks or so. My fishing season is done but I’ll be back in 2024 better than ever. 👍✌️

Andrew, good to see you on the water again! You're right, most people wouldn't do this to catch a fish. But we are not most people, we enjoy catching fish as much as we love being in the wild or being on the water! Glad to see you, now let's see a salmon! :)

hahaha I told Tara yesterday, I am cooking corn, using corn flavoured bait, and rode through a corn field to get here... I wonder if anyone will notice the theme.

So right about the common carp. They’ve been in Europe since Roman times. Totally respected by anglers.

When I was a little kid, about 6 years old, I would go out with a commercial fisherman on the Mississipi, near Lacrosse, Wi. He would catch thousands of pounds of carp, catfish, bass, bluegills etc. He would throw back the game fish. We would take the fish to the market. He didn't make much money. He also caught huge snapping turtles. The first thing he would do is cut their heads off. Thr turtles would walk around in the boat headless for hours. I learned a lot about fishing on the Mississippi. I had flashbacks when you were fishing on that muddy river and caught the carp. Do they also have Sturgeon in that river?

Very cool! Yes I hear there are Sturgeon here but you are not allowed to fish for them. I've heard stories of people accidentally catching one.

I would do this for a peaceful spot like this and fishing action. BTW I had to go to your channel to see if you had any new videos. You haven't been uploading as often, so I guess the algorithm didn't share your video to me.
