MOST PHYSICAL Moments From Brutal Lacrosse Game

On Feb. 5, 2024, Syracuse Lacrosse defeated Colgate, 18-10, in an extremely physical game at the JMA Wireless Dome. The two teams combined for 19 penalties, including five unnecessary roughness calls. The most egregious foul came late in the second quarter, when a Colgate player tackled a Syracuse player by the neck.

Been there done that.... Tough game to control with out dictating. Officiating the game has never been harder. Crazy tech., bigger stronger faster kids, rules designed for safety in a contact sport, entitlement and ignorance out of fans...... Hats off to all the lax stripes, they earning it.

Watch it again in slow mo. He came at the kid with two hands on his stick attempting to push him out from just above hips when his lower hand slips off of his stick. His right hand keeps the momentum going and it slides right up to the attackman's neck. It was never meant to be a high hit or one handed. Shit happens. It looked blatant, but it wasn't imo.

Box is for pussies who are too weak and un athletic to run through a long pole. The goalies are a complete embarrassment to the position with all that bulky equipment they wear-most wouldn’t last a single practice in a field lax crease. Box can be useful for offseason skill work but all the top players play field for a reason.

It seems like the refs called way too many penalties on Colgate and didn’t call the same penalties on Syracuse. Number 2 for Syracuse should have got a flag for following the dude to the box jawing at him. The dudes hand slipped off the bottom of his stick making it look way worse than what it was. Syracuse acted like a bunch of poor sports.
