I forgot how much fun opening Pokémon card packs were. Even if I never played the card game, I was excited to see all the cool looking art on cards I could find and that other people had; yep, that's what I traded for: the artwork. I never understood what rarity meant or what was classified as a "rare card." Back then, as a kid, it was even more of a surprise and excitement for pulling an EX or full art or a reverse hollow; even if I didn't truly understand the potential value it would have (to which people tricked me a LOT when trading cards that I had no idea where valuable) I would simple jump for joy when I got a card that was stunning in looks. That Charizard card looks absolutely incredible; they all do. I bought two packs that Unlisted Leaf is selling, one for me and another for my little cousin who is SUPER into Pokémon cards right now. He reminds me of the times when I was a kid and when I would just keep cards for the art. I'm hoping to give any rare cards I pull to him because I know it'll make his Christmas. Heck, if I get the Charizard card (just wishful thinking), I'd show it to him, and then we can have something else to bond over. I'd probably keep it because of how expensive it is, but maybe when he's older and understands the sheer value that the card can be, I'd probably pass it along to him.
