Another great video, John. So, if you were going to buy a blender, would you get this one or a Vitamix?

+GForceFitness1 Depends. If money is not a factor, the Vitamix at 2x more the cost of this blender is more powerful for sure and time proven. If having a glass container and a lower price is important, this would be the blender. That being said, I would most likely pick option "c" that was not included.. I would get a DC powered blender. (stay tuned for a video on this within the next month or two)

Mike, Please ensure you are getting the "Dynablend Clean" model DB-950. This model looks like the previous model Dynablend Horsepower Plus DB-850. The DB-850 was discontinued and replaced with this upgraded model. The previous model may be on sale for less than the current model, but it does not have the improvements I talk about in this video.

Mahalo for your help. I'm moving to Brazil for 1 year and still not sure if I need to get a juicer or this blender. as much as I would like to take both, I'm limited on luggage. but this might and the price if good.

You said that the connecting piece (clutch) on the bottom of the caraffe is metal. What about the connecting piece on the motor side - is it plastic or also metal?

+scuba453 On the motor side, its currently plastic - This part is covered under the 10 year warranty for manufacturers defect.

hey John, can the stainless assembly be used in the older model? I got the previous model from your shop and I have been loving it but I have had to replace the bottom part which was plastic.

+Boodieman72 Just because the BlendTec doesn't have one doesn't mean that it could not use one. Why do you think they offer that optional "Twister" jar? There are plenty of times that I have experienced cavitation with my BlendTec.

I bought one of these when they first came out ... a total waste of money. Stunk like a diesel truck when it was used, very hard to clean, poor service and guarantee ... I would never get anything from TriBest again and would urge others not to trust what I think is a very shady company. Check on Amazon the reviews are very poor, some people reported getting pieces of black plastic in their food, and I bought it because it got a good review here ... thanks a lot JK. :-(

+justgivemethetruth The original dynablend horsepower Plus model DB-850 did have some challenges when it was initially released. Tribest has since discontinued that model, and they now have the Dynablend Clean DB-950 model. This is the new and improved model that hopefully they got the bugs worked out. If you purchased the machine from discountjuicers, and it is infact not working properly, I will be glad to ensure that Tribest takes care of my customers warranty service by getting Tribest to replace your defective machine with The Dynablend Clean DB-950 model.

+justgivemethetruth I agree the first one was complete garbage. It has a plastic housing where the blade connects to the motor.
