This video shares the story of the Dominator Fore demise to Hurricane Ian on Pine Island, FL. Intense Hurricane Ian storm surge and 150+ mph winds dominated the legendary storm chasing vehicle, the Dominator Fore, on Pine Island, Florida. The salt water of a 10-15 foot storm surge destroyed the engine and electronics while projectiles within the 150+ mph winds blew out the windows and ripped the exterior. The bridge was knocked out on Pine Island, so we had to wait until a replacement bridge was built, and then we were able to extract the Dominator Fore. The extraction was far more complicated than we ever could have imaged. The vehicle was stuck on a tree stump, which made the tow difficult without damaging the front axle. The vehicle was then transported by auto transport company from Fort Myers Florida to the Grease Rabbit Garage in Upstate SC, where a long rebuilding process is planned.
STAY TUNED for updates on the rebuild of Dominator Fore, which is planned for this winter ahead of spring tornado season. The plan is the mount the old exterior (hood, doors, etc.) on a new 2018 Subaru Forester. Mark my words - the Dominator Fore will live to chase another day! Thank you Deon at the Grease Rabbit Garage.
Never stop chasing!
