no joke about that customer service TJ picked up the phone himself text you emails you gets back to you let you know what's going on absolutely positively the best customer service in the business that do TJ good good dude

Thanks dude! Really means a lot. Dan does most of the customer service stuff and I just help out when I can with Dale playing cleanup hah. But it really is a team effort. Dale (our boss) has done an awesome job at keeping the small business vibe alive. We all have cell phones that ring whenever a customer calls in. If we miss a call it's policy that we call them back as soon as possible.

Thanks for all the charger reviews you do. I purchased a ISDT Q8 because of videos. I like the ISDT Q8 and will keep using it. But there are a few things I wish functioned differently. After watching this video Im ready to pull the trigger and order one of these iCharger S6 but I have a few questions about the power output function. 1) When using the variable power output mode. Does it have short circuit protection? If so does it shut power completely off to the output? 2)Does it have true CC limits or is it CW limited like ISDT Q8 even though you set CV and CC? 3)Does it use fuses on input and output? If so are the self reseting? 4) will it power up using just the balance port? Basically wondering if it can be uses as a quick battery checker. Or is it like the ISDT Q8 where it has to have an input source just to check cell voltages of another battery on the output?

well I just noticed yall had sale on the S6 So I went ahead a placed order. I guess Ill be figuring out these questions myself shortly lol.

@@BuddyRC Im still in the process of fully testing both the iCharger S6 and iSDT Q8. Im not a “KZbinr” but if I get time I hope todo a few videos demonstrating the advanced features of these chargers because no one seams to have videos on how or why someone would want to use them. The testing Im doing on these are all being done using 4 wire lab test gear so I feel results are pretty accurate. I have already found a flaw in the iSDT Q8 that is not apparent without external monitoring of the charge current on the iSDT Q8 that causes it charge faulty battery pack at around 500ma after Q8 displays err message and the only way to stop the 500ma charge current is to power cycle the iSDT Q8.

By the way I have not found any issues with the iCharge S6. So far its solid and an awesome tool. I I don’t know what else to call it because it’s way more than just a charger :-)

@@mumbles1justin i also testing the icharger X8 and idst q8 max both are great but i think the software of the q8 is worse than the X8 because every time when i select another type of battery i need cheange the current and voltage and cells numbers but on the X8 every diffrent each battery parametr is saved on the battery list that is easy to use so the icharger X8 is the best charger also have good internal discharge power-50w vs -30 on the q8 max and the fan is not too loud, q8 max fan is much louder on full discharge power

Hey. Thank you for your videos. Can you please advise a power supply for S6? I basically charge AGM 12V batteries.

Can you charge lifepo4 51.2v battery with this icharger?

Quick question it's been a yr since your review alone & barely any KZbin channels have any info or reviews on the S6? I'm curious why nobody talks about the S6 but there's a million videos on the X6?? Thank

So what is the big difference between this new S6 charger and the old 306b? It appears as if this new s6 is emulating the ISDT charger line, where it's better suited for in the field charging from another battery input, as opposed to the 306b charging line which seems better suited for home charging and AC input.
@andjusticeforall88132 жыл бұрын
My 306b is dc only, definitely no ac input 🤔 S6 is more than adequate for permanent home setup just make sure your psu is up to it if you require all the s6 has to offer. Personally I go complete overkill on my psu (controllable) so it’s not working it guts out, safer and has a longer life Isdt are ok some hit n miss, icharger simply don’t make an average model there all exceptional and worth every cent, imo

Can this be okay balancing my 45ah LTO battery (6S Yinlongs) which will be charged with 400a alternator and the battery can out out 450a continuous and 1,000+a peak. Can I keep this X6 attached to this battery? Or do I need to install switch to only use X6 when charging with 20a charger and not 400a JS alternator (which only reaches 400a at 2,000rpms)

We can not recommend leaving any charger connected

Nicely done review, but it appears this needs a power supply to operate. Thats a no go for me, my d6 charger rules.
@BuddyRC4 жыл бұрын
Yeah man. Once power output crosses a certain point an external power supply is needed. I use a small ac charger for the small stuff still just because it's easy

im gonna be honest with you there's too much blabbing until you actually get to the point, if you cut it out and get straight to facts instead of spending 4 minutes just saying that there's too many features it's frustrating to sit and listen to it. I will be buying it from you guys instead of progressive RC since you explained about your product guarantee, that's definitely worth it so thanks

Pft... Soldering your test leads? Ya sure that's what i want to do. No balance leads, terrible documentation, support is non-existent. By the time i got done getting this stupid thing working i could have built one myself, almost literally
